How will the Dutch government solve the asylum crisis?

Will the Dutch government misuse the controversial Population Movement Act to “solve” the asylum crisis?

In the coming months, municipalities must make 20 000 houses available for asylum seekers. In the coming years, no less than 730 million euro will be allocated to combat the asylum crisis. This involves emergency accommodation, flexible housing, integration and tackling troublemakers. For the time being, there will be no end to asylum.

It is unclear where the 20 000 houses will come from. Throughout the country, there is a large housing shortage. Former member of the European Parliament Lucas Hartong commented: “This disaster cabinet is crazy!

Journalist Annelies Strikkers is convinced that the Population Movement Act and new coercive asylum legislation will be abused. “Although the introduction of the Population Movement Act is intended to ensure the reception of Ukrainian refugees, the asylum crisis is being used as an argument to deploy this legislation and possibly other far-reaching articles,” she warned in a Twitter thread.

With articles that have not yet been activated, Dutch citizens can be forced to move and a mayor can confiscate any home.

Strikkers pointed out that State Secretary Van der Burg and Ministers Hugo de Jonge and Bruins Slot are working on new legislation in order to be able to enforce asylum reception by municipalities according to dictates.

In the first six months of this year, 195 200 asylum seekers came to the Netherlands. The influx is now 70 percent higher than in 2021. Meanwhile, Dutch people often wait eight to 15 years before they have a chance of finding social housing and the housing market is totally saturated.

“Looking at it all – think also of the expropriation of farmers – one can conclude that there is a process underway to disrupt the national culture and population composition,” Strikkers noted. “And the government succeeds in this by creating crises that are ‘solved’ with restrictive legislation. Very worrying.”

India: Muslim man and his wife, who reconverted to Hinduism, get death threats

A Muslim family in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, which reconverted to Hinduism and became Hindu is being threatened with death. The family said that threats are being issued in the name of Mafia Mukhtar Ansari and UP government minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi.

Mohammad Salim Haider, now identified as Rajveer Singh after reconverting to Hinduism, resides at Spring Green Apartment on Faizabad Road in Lucknow with his family. Rajveer Singh alleges that his brother Wasim has threatened him and his family. At the same time, his wife and daughter are constantly threatened with rape because they decided to abandon Islam and reconvert to Hinduism.

Rajveer’s wife, Samia Siddiqui, who changed her name to Poonam Singh, stated that previously she was a Hindu. She married Mohammad Salim in love marriage, after which Salim’s family converted her and gave her the name Samia Siddiqui.

She stated that her husband’s family thought that if a Muslim man marries a Hindu female or has a sexual relationship, he will receive the glory of Hajj. “When my husband objected to this, we attempted to return to Hinduism, but we are now facing death threats,” she said.

Rajveer stated that he had also been kidnapped. A pistol was also placed on his head, and he was threatened that if he converted to Hinduism, he would be killed and his wife and daughter would be forced to work as prostitutes. Poonam stated that the family is so terrified that they are reluctant to leave the house and are yet to complain. Poonam has asked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to protect the family and to take strong action against those responsible.

The couple stated that their worry had subsided after the arrival of the current government, but Wasim had returned to trouble the family. Poonam and Rajveer have a 12-year-old daughter, and the entire family is stressed. They are terrified that the family will be put to death at any moment.

“Kill The White Farmer, Kill the White man” is not hate speech according to a South African court of law

Basically just watch this video. Saying or singing “Kill The White Farmer, Kill the White man” is not hate speech according to a South African court of law. But using the word, “Kaffir” is. I don’t think in South Africa it has the exact meaning it does everywhere else. Normally, Kaffir is an Islamic insult of calling all non-believers, subhuman with no right to life because they don’t believe in Islam. Technically, that is a death penalty offence in places with a strict Islamic government. But in South Africa, Kaffir is a derogatory word for black people, although it comes from the same root. You can be jailed for using the word, “kaffir” for six months in South Africa.

This is a sterling example of how uses of things like “hate-speech” is not hypocrisy, corruption or incompetence but is in fact, dialectics.

German households facing mass poverty

The German policy catastrophe is picking up speed. The banks are now warning that a large proportion of Germans will in future reach the limits of their financial resilience due to the rapidly increasing cost of living.

Savings Bank President Helmut Schleweis informed German weekly Welt am Sonntag: “We expect that due to the significant price increase, up to 60 percent of German households will have to use their entire disposable income – or more – monthly for only living expenses.

“This part of the population is then simply no longer able to save.”

With 40 million households nationwide, this would affect 24 million households. According to the Sparkasse wealth barometer, a year ago only 15 percent were unable to put money aside. The Sparkassen itself has 50 million customers.

A shrinking scope for customers is also being observed at the Volks- und Raiffeisenbanken. “High inflation robs consumers of purchasing power, which reduces their ability to save,” said Andreas Martin, head of the Association of German Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken (BVR).

Germany is facing the worst economic crisis at least since reunification. According to an analysis by Deutsche Bank, a recession is now a certainty. After measly growth of one percent this year, gross domestic product (GDP) is likely to shrink by one percent in 2023. However, if Russia turns off the gas tap completely, then GDP will collapse by five to six percent in 2023 – a dramatic decline similar to the height of the financial crisis in 2009.

This horror scenario is playing out against the background of inflation that has not yet peaked at eight percent in July and will continue stubbornly in 2023. And if that’s not enough, since Corona Germans have been living with the highest national debt in the history of the Federal Republic.

The gas crisis, which Deutsche Bank has also investigated, could prove to be a “game changer” for Germany as an industrial location. The probability that prosperity and quality of life in Germany will decrease in future has never been as high as it is today. How could this happen?

Fifty years of failed energy policy

The answer to the first question is simple: The reason is fifty years of failed energy policy. It all started with the fanatical rejection of nuclear energy in the 1970s by the Greens. It never stood up for the environment and nature conservation, but only against the economy and freedom.

The Greens, and especially the Merkel-CDU, have actually succeeded in banning the most stable, cleanest and most efficient energy source in the world while ensuring that a return to nuclear energy is out of the question. The three nuclear power plants that are still in operation and whose continued operation is now the subject of so bitter arguments, produce less than eight percent of German electricity.

The CDU eventually successfully closed down this energy source, but at the same time knew that enough electricity could never be generated from water, wind and sun to keep the world’s fourth-largest economy running. Only Russia can supply what Germany needs: cheap energy in large quantities. The nuclear debacle and the lack of renewable alternatives left no other choice.

Energy is the lifeblood of every economy

As with Corona, the Scholtz government has again started spending money it does not have. The ailing gas importer Uniper had to be saved from bankruptcy with 15 billion euros in state aid, billions in write-downs on Nord Stream 2 and tens of billions more to first build terminals for liquefied natural gas at state expense and then to buy overpriced gas together on the world markets.

Nevertheless, this spending spree with planned gas allocation can no longer be avoided, since the self-made chaos would be more expensive in the long run than the most expensive order.

All of this will be paid for by the taxpayer, in two ways: firstly through higher taxes and secondly through higher prices on almost everything, because trade, industry and crafts will of course pass on the increased energy prices. When the new energy infrastructure is finally up and running again many years from now, largely without Russian natural gas, then nothing will be the same as it used to be. Then the energy costs for oil, gas and electricity will be higher than ever before and Germany will be significantly less competitive as an industrial location.

Energy is the lifeblood of every modern economy. “A clique of blockheads, fanatics and ignoramuses who have no idea about business and technology have actually succeeded in 50 years of misguided energy policy in bringing the German economy, which performed a miracle after the Second World War, to the brink of catastrophe. This will noticeably reduce the real income of broad sections of the population. A perfect storm looms like never before,” remarkedGerman commentator Markus Brandstetter.

Shock: Germany and France in a world of hurt as power prices hit fresh records, gas price up over 1,200%

Following Russia announcing it was planning on closing Nord Stream 1 for three days for maintenance in August, gas and electricity prices have continued soaring higher in Europe, with electricity prices hitting fresh records for Germany and France.

In Germany, electricity futures for next year jumped to an all-time high of €800 a megawatt-hour. European gas future prices have also hit a record, closing at €318 yesterday. Although they reached up to €345 in March, that was an intraday record, and did not close at that price.

Inflation, which has been driven partly by rising energy costs, has crushed German consumer sentiment, bringing it to a record low, according to research from Growth for Knowledge (GfK)

Gfk’s consumer barometer reports a drop of 5.6 points in July to -36.5, a drop that surprised markets.

Wholesale gas prices also hit a new record today on the Dutch gas futures exchange, reaching €320 per megawatt hour. In mid-August 2021, a megawatt hour only cost €26, representing a massive increase of more than 1,200 percent.

The cost of French power jumped to a fresh record as its nuclear plants are confronted with outages due to drought and technical issues. France derives a substantial share of its power from nuclear energy, with the country’s current nuclear woes having a knock-on effect across the entire European energy market.

State-owned Electricite de France SA’s announced that more of its reactors will take longer to come back online after they were halted, with the outages expected to reduce output by 8,380 megawatts, representing nearly 14 percent of France’s total nuclear capacity.

“In France, only half the reactors are running,” said German State Secretary Patrick Graichen, who serves in the economy ministry.

Russia’s state-owned Gazprom announced that the vital Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline will be shut off for three days of maintenance on Aug. 31. However, there are fears that Russia may not restart flows, which have already been reduced to approximately 20 percent of the normal levels recorded last year. Even if supplies come back online, gas prices may rise further due to uncertainty, and Russia may implement periodic shutdowns in the future that further squeeze Europe.

At the Pauluel 4 reactor in France, planned outages for six reactors have been extended, and a new one was announced. While these type of outages have lasted only a few days in some cases, others have lasted for as long as two months.

French power for next year soared to €880 ($879) a megawatt-hour, representing a 1,000 percent increase from a year ago. However, French energy prices are capped for consumers, meaning that so far French end-consumers have not seen massive increases in their bills, with the government paying the difference.

European countries remain in crisis mode, searching for ways to reduce power costs and shield citizens from soaring energy bills. On Friday, the U.K. announced that the price cap on energy bills would be increased by 80 percent. Millions are now expected to be hit with bills approximately three times higher than last winter’s, increasing the odds of recession.

France: Imam calls Islamist terror attacks “pseudo attacks” aimed at scaring non-Muslims into fearing Islam and Muslims

On July 28, Gérald Darmanin had officially announced that Imam Hassan Iquioussen was to be expelled from French territory. Since then, however, the radical preacher has appealed to the Council of State to try to reverse this decision. A month later, Le Point reported on August 27 that it had gained access to a 48-page dossier of incriminating documents about the imam’s gaffes. Anti-Semitism, misogyny, incitement to hatred of Christians, legitimisation of violence: the archive compiled by the Interior Ministry is extensive, to say the least.

The dossier first underlines the close relationship between Hassan Iquioussen and the Muslim Brotherhood, which propagates a subjugation of women or even hatred of Jews and the West. The preacher did not hesitate to declare that “the place of women is in the kitchen”. “Allah has created you as a sister so that you can take responsibility for your family,” he said in one of his videos. He has also called “secularism”, “the Catholics” and “the Jews” “enemies” and called Osama bin Laden a “great warrior” and a “great defender of Islam”. The preacher also legitimised jihad on several occasions.

Another problematic statement was when he spoke of “pseudo attacks” in 2012 in connection with the 9/11 attacks in the USA and the killing spree of Mohammed Merah in Toulouse. Hassan Iqouissen had stated that these “pseudo attacks are aimed at making non-Muslims afraid so that they are afraid of Islam and Muslims”. In several videos between 2015 and 2020, the imam also called on Muslims to resist assimilation, to live their faith conspicuously and to use violence if necessary. Also rejecting integration, he had also rejected French civil marriage, recalling that “religious marriage is the only one accepted by the Quran”. An extensive file and a judgement by the Council of State expected soon.

Germany: Refugee fired bazooka into group of people

He arrived from Syria. He was recognised as a refugee in Berlin “for humanitarian reasons”.

Now he is on trial as an alleged war criminal: the Federal Prosecutor General’s Office accuses Moafak D. (55) of seven murders and three attempted murders!

In 2014, he allegedly fired a bazooka at people waiting for food distributed by a UN relief organisation. Two survivors (48, 57) of the explosion on March 23, 2014 in the Al Yarmouk camp in Damascus are joint plaintiffs before the Berlin Superior Court. They also now live in Germany.

The defendant hides from the photographers. Then he sits behind bulletproof glass: black hooded jacket, white beard, metal-rimmed glasses.

He lets a defence lawyer describe his life. Syrian Palestinian. Eleven siblings. At 27, he marries a 15-year-old girl. Four children. Work in construction. Military service in the “Palestinian Liberation Army”. In the end, however, he was only a “messenger” for 300 dollars a month.

In 2016, he sends a son (15) to Germany. Then the family reunion: he arrives at the beginning of 2018 (“in the car to Beirut, in the plane to Berlin”), his wife at the end of 2018, two daughters in 2019.

They get an 80-sqm flat in Adlershof. He does not work (“was receiving medical treatment”).

Arrested on August 4, 2021. Not a word about the charges: he is said to have been a commander of a militia acting on behalf of the Assad regime. He is said to have been angry, his nephew had been killed. He is said to have been out for “revenge”.

That is why he fired the anti-tank shell into the people, according to the prosecution. Witnesses identified him as being in Germany.

To be continued on Friday, verdict in January 2023.

India: Hindi food delivery boy shot by Muslims for refusing to accept torn ₹200 note

In Shahjahanpur of Uttar Pradesh, a delivery boy was shot for refusing to accept torn currency notes while delivering an order of pizza and burgers. After the incident, the injured man Sachin Kashyap was sent to Bareilly for treatment. The incident took place on 24th August 2022. The accused Nadeem Khan and Naeem Khan were arrested by the Bareilly police and country-made pistols were recovered from them.

This incident took place in the Kotwali Chowk area of Shahjahanpur on Wednesday. Sachin Kumar Kashyap, a resident of the Kachcha Katra Mohalla works as a delivery boy in the Vilanka Cafe situated in the town hall area under the Sadar Police Station. On Wednesday, August 24, he went to deliver a pizza and burger order late in the night. He was accompanied by his friend Ritik. At around 11.30 in the night, both of them went to Nadeem Khan’s residence in the Jalalnagar area for delivery of the order and returned after collecting the price.

According to reports, Ritik said that Sachin was supposed to collect Rs 197 from the customer, and Nadeem Khan gave him a note of Rs 200. After that, they went to buy a soft drink and gave that same note. But the shopkeeper refused to accept it as it was torn. They immediately went back, and requested Nadeem to replace the note. But Nadeem Khan and his brother Naeem Khan got very angry at this. Both of them abused Sachin. As Sachin resisted the abuse, Nadeem Khan brought out a country-made pistol and shot Sachin in the back. Ritik was saved by chance.

After hearing the gunshot, a neighbour called police, the police reached the spot and sent the injured to the Government Medical College. Seeing his condition, he was referred to Bareilly. Inspector-in-charge Amit Pandey said raids were conducted at several places to arrest the accused. The police took quick action in this case and on 26th August 2022, the police arrested the two accused Nadeem Khan and Naeem Khan for shooting the delivery boy. The police also recovered an illegal pistol that was used in the crime and 12 bores cartridges.

SHO Pandey said, “Multiple teams were deployed in the area to nab the accused brothers. We recovered two countrymade pistols and multiple bullets from them. We booked them under sections 307 (attempt to murder) and 504 (intentional insult) of the Indian Penal Code, along with section 5/25 of the Arms Act. Both of them were sent to jail on Thursday”.
