On July 8, Karim S. suffered a stroke while he was in the toilet at Orly Airport. The 50-year-old was a cabin manager for the airline Corsair and was on his way back to Barcelona, where he lived with his partner Toni. Karim was French, but paid his taxes in Spain and had long ago broken off contact with his family. Nevertheless, French justice turned to them after his death, setting off a judicial tangle, Slate reports.

In the city, Karim and Toni were living under the legal form of “pareja de hecho” – the equivalent of the marriage contract in France, but not its legal counterpart. When the French authorities discovered his body, they assumed Karim was single and contacted his family. The Muslim family agreed to take the body and bury it according to Islamic rites.

The problem was that, according to Toni and his acquaintances, Karim did not consider himself a Muslim at all. His sexuality had even caused him to break off contact with his family, where it was perceived as a “disgrace”. On the contrary, the 50-year-old had even expressed the wish to be cremated – but he had never officially expressed this wish. Toni and his lawyers then turned to the French authorities and demanded to be entrusted with Karim’s mortal remains.

Lawyers Del Barco and Garre, contacted by Slate, believe that “from the point of view of Spanish and European law, this is a violation of fundamental freedoms and that their contacts with France are at best characterised by indifference, at worst by obstructionist intentions”. The two lawyers even stated that they had still not received Karim’s death certificate: So in the eyes of the Spanish justice system, Karim is still alive. Until the matter is resolved, his body is in a French morgue.

Erdogan’s AKP party has been in power since 2002 and is increasingly transforming the formerly secular Turkish state into an Islamic country. Special attention is being paid to the Islamic education of the new generation. The secular Turkish opposition expressed concern about the new curriculum.

“By enshrining a jihadist values education, they are trying to contaminate the brains of our young children with the same understanding that is turning the Middle East into a bloodbath,” said Bulent Tezcan of the secular opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP). The AKP government is “raising a generation of future militia leaders”.

The organisation denounces a northern company for allegedly selling living sheep to private individuals, accusing it of ” cruelty to animals by a trader ” and ” aiding and abetting the slaughter of animals outside an approved establishment “.

The animal welfare organisation L214 announced in a press release that it had filed a complaint against the sheep breeding company Flandres Artois (Sofa) with the Dunkirk public prosecutor’s office on Wednesday. It accuses the company of selling sheep bred in Deûlémont in the north of the country to private individuals to be “secretly slaughtered” for the Eid el-Kebir celebrations.

L214 filed a complaint for ” cruelty to animals by a trader ” and for ” aiding and abetting the slaughter of animals outside an approved establishment “, the organisation told the AFP news agency. The Dunkirk public prosecutor’s office confirmed that it had received the complaint. L214 accuses the company, which specialises in animal trafficking, of “selling and handing over live sheep to private individuals”, even though “sheep bought by private individuals must be sent to an approved slaughterhouse to be killed on Eid day”.

A group of Dutch farmers blocked the entrance to a paper factory in the Eastern Netherlands on Wednesday with their tractors to protest the double standards of the government’s green agenda.

Tractors descended on the town of Renkum in the Gelderland province on Wednesday, surrounding and blockading the Parenco paper mill, which has not been subjected to the same nitrogen emissions requirements that the globalist administration of PM Mark Rutte is demanding of farmers throughout the country.

The Rutte coalition government is attempting to force farms to reduce their nitrogen output by between 70 and 95 per cent by 2030 in order to supposedly comply with the European Union’s Natura2000 agenda, which seeks to classify vast swaths of land throughout the bloc as protected environments in order to shutdown surrounding industry.

The main target of the Dutch government so far has been farmland, with estimates predicting that the nitrogen limits would force 30 per cent of livestock farms to shut down. There have been accusations that the government is merely using the EU programme as a justification to seize the valuable land, given that other EU member states have not yet attempted such draconian measures to meet the bloc’s standards.

The farmers told the local broadcaster Omroep Gelderland that the protest on Wednesday was not meant to be an attack on the paper mill, but merely to highlight the apparent hypocrisy of the government’s green agenda.

One farmer said that they chose the location “because there is a Natura2000 area to the left and right of the Parenco [paper mill]… We have to comply with the rules, but nitrogen is just being emitted here.”

The paper factory ranked 54 among companies in the Netherlands in terms of emitting nitrogen oxides and was the top such emitter in the province of Gelderland.

Following a conversation between the farmers and the mayor of Renkum, the tractor blockade was lifted after a few hours of disruptions.

Last week, there was widespread chaos caused by protesters dumping animal manure, car tyres, and flaming bales of hay on motorways throughout the country.

Despite the mass protests, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, who this week became the Netherlands’ longest-serving prime minister, has so far refused to cut his vacation short to address the crisis.

Commenting on the ongoing dispute, Dutch political commentator Eva Vlaardingerbroek told GB News this week that while the mainstream media in the Netherlands attempts to claim that there no support for the farmers, she said “the support for the farmers was originally and still is high.

She said that Rutte “has ruined the country beyond recognition, taking away people’s private property for a nitrogen crisis? That little game of creating a crisis and taking your rights away… people are waking up to that.”

Bryony Farmer, a YouTuber from Old Blighty, has produced a video instructing men who think they are women on how to simulate a period…complete with a recipe for fake menstrual blood.  The Post Millennial recently reported that Farmer’s video begins with the written message: “Menstruation is something natural that is constantly associated with being a ‘woman,’ therefore it is completely normal for all women to want to experience this sensation and I hope you all can appreciate that.”

It is alarming that Farmer seems a little baffled as to why menstruation is “constantly associated with being a ‘woman.'”  (Perhaps if Farmer were a farmer, he would realize that egg production is something exclusively female, as is the presence of teats and mother’s milk.)

And calling menstruation a “sensation” is certainly understating its effect — and toll — on women.  I hope one day Farmer and men like him can appreciate that.  Menstruation, the ability to conceive and grow a baby in a specially designed sanctuary in one’s body — and the subsequent ability to nurse and nurture that baby for the first year or so of life via milk specifically produced for that task — are all divine hallmarks of human females.  Period.

Aspiring trans women might say, “Men can menstruate, too.  I mean, the first three letters of menstruation spell ‘men’!  Coincidence?”

But “simulated periods“?  Really?  How far are we willing to go in our pathetic attempt to pull one over on God…question mark.

I believe there are too many simulated men now.

And far too much genuine ignorance and insanity.  Exclamation point.

EU states should come up with a plan to save migrants who are trying to cross the Mediterranean Sea in increasing numbers, according to a joint statement made by liberal non-governmental organizations including Sea-Watch, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), and SOS Méditerranée on Wednesday.

In recent weeks, the ships of humanitarian organizations have rescued hundreds of migrants trying to reach Europe from Africa. Italy has registered more than 42,000 new arrivals on this route so far this year — that is significantly more than all of last year when there were approximately 30,000.

The country is struggling to provide migrants with entry registration and accommodation. For example, the refugee camp on the island of Lampedusa, with a capacity of about 350 people, is excessively overcrowded.

Humanitarian organizations complained that the EU member states are not carrying out coordinated operations to save people in the Mediterranean, and therefore the organizations themselves must intervene instead.

“EU member states and associated states should deploy an adequate, state-led and proactive rescue fleet in the central Mediterranean, a rapid and proportionate response to all distress calls and a predictable disembarking mechanism,” the organizations jointly stated.

In 2020, the EU ended the controversial anti-trafficking operation in the Mediterranean and replaced it with the Irini mission, which aimed to maintain the U.N. arms embargo on Libya. Since then, the rescue of migrants has been left to the discretion of individual states. NGOs complain that countries ignore distress calls or even work with Libyan authorities to send them back to Libya.

The MSF ship Geo Barents with 659 people on board, has been asking ports in Italy and Malta for permission to disembark rescued migrants for several days. The Ocean ship, operated by SOS Méditerranée, disembarked 387 people in Salerno, Italy, on Sunday after several days of waiting, while the Sea-Watch 3 disembarked 438 people in Taranto on Saturday.

A bloc of right-wing and far-right parties in Italy, which, according to the latest opinion polls, is on course to win the elections scheduled for Sept. 25, is calling for a “sea blockade” to prevent the disembarkation of migrants. The leader of the right-wing populist League party, Matteo Salvini, plans to visit Lampedusa on Thursday.
