Justin Trudeau’s opponent would ban ministers from attending WEF
Pierre Poilievre, who will be running for the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada later this year, said at a meeting in Calgary that he would ban ministers from attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Canada’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Chrystia Freeland sits on the WEF’s Supervisory Board. Shadow Minister of Natural Resources Michelle Rempel Garner can also be found on the organisation’s website. She denied in an article that Canada was run by the WEF.
Earlier, WEF chief Klaus Schwab had boasted however that more than half of the Canadian cabinet was made up of Young Global Leaders of the WEF.
Poilievre thus indicated that he wanted to take Canada in a completely different direction. He is planning to take on Trudeau in the next election and defeat him.
“I have made it clear that I will ban my ministers in my cabinet from attending the World Economic Forum if I become prime minister,” he said at an earlier meeting. “Work for Canada. If you want to go to Davos, to that conference, buy a single ticket. You cannot be part of our government and pursue a policy agenda that is not in line with the interests of our people.”
Poilievre is running in the 2022 Conservative Party of Canada leadership election and is considered to be the frontrunner. He has supported those in the Canada convoy protest against vacccine mandates who were protesting peacefully and said the federal government had abused its power by invoking the Emergencies Act during the protest and proposed limiting its power and use to prevent it from being used similarly in the future.
Poilievre demonstrated his support for army reservist James Topp’s anti-mandate protest walk from Vancouver to their planned Canada Day freedom protest on Parliament Hill, by joining Topp, Paul Alexander, Tom Marazzo, a self-declared spokesperson for the Canada convoy protest and an ex-military officer, on June 30, 2022 in the final stage of Topp’s march to Ottawa.

Gas Crisis: Rising Energy Prices Could See Germany’s ‘Social Peace’ Collapse
Germany’s economics minister believes that his country could soon face a collapse of “social peace” as a result of rising energy prices.
A loss of spending power and a “credit crunch” brought about by the sudden spike in energy prices could bring about serious problems for Germany’s “social peace”, the country’s economic and climate minister, Robert Habeck, has said.
The Green minister’s comments come as Germany enters an economic and social tailspinas a result of Russia’s move to cut considerably the amount of gas it is supplying to the country, seemingly in response to the host of sanctions imposed on Vladimir Putin’s country by the West.
According to a report by Der Spiegel, the resultant gas crisis caused by the Kremlin turning down the taps has left Germany in an extremely vulnerable economic position, with Habeck himself now expressing concern that an ensuing economic crisis could lead to social unrest in the country.
“Social peace in Germany is being severely challenged and strained,” the minister reportedly admitted, citing a possible slipping of the German economy.
Habeck has meanwhile begged for the Canadian government to release a spare part for the main pipeline between Russia and Germany that can only be manufactured in the North American country.
The absence of this part — a turbine manufactured by Siemens Energy AG — has been cited by Russia as the reason it has dramatically reduced the amount of gas it is supplying Germany with.
“If it’s a legal question for Canada, I want to make clear that I’m not asking them to deliver it to Russia, but to bring it to Germany,” Habeck said, alluding to sanctions in place against Russia that may be preventing the spare part from being shipped.
“It is with a heavy heart that we had to ask for this.”
Fears surrounding a collapse in “social peace” in Germany come as politicians in the country brace for the complete loss of Russian gas, an event some — including Habeck himself — are anticipating could happen later this month.
Such a move would almost certainly plunge the country into a severe recession, without one forecast predicting the country’s economy to suffer around a €200 billion loss within six months of supplies being cut off.
The extreme vulnerability to losing Russian supplies has been squarely blamed on Germany’s addiction to Russian gas, something that former U.S. President Donald Trump warned about back in 2018, to little effect.
However, despite the dire situation Germany has now found itself in, Habeck has said that he and his government are still backing even more sanctions against Russia — a move that would likely bring as-of-yet unknown hardship to Europe.
“I don’t want to hide the fact that my ministry is still thinking about further sanctions,” Habeck admitted, swearing that previous measures have indeed been hurting the Russian economy.

Iranian-born vice president of Germany’s domestic intelligence agency causes displeasure by staying in Iran
The new vice president of the Cologne-based Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), Tehran-born Felor Badenberg, is said to have embarked on a private trip to the Islamic Republic of Iran, apparently violating her own agency’s strict security precautions. Federal Interior Minister Faeser and BfV President Thomas Haldenwang are said to have been privy to the illegal activities.
All employees of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution are generally strictly forbidden to travel and stay in countries such as Iran, Syria or Russia, as they are threatened with arrest for espionage there. The emphasis here is on “all” employees and “generally.” However, the new vice president of the Cologne-based Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), Felor Badenberg, born in Tehran, who was elevated to office last month by the left-wing radical Federal Interior Minister Faeser in the “fight against the right”, seems to have ignored this.
As Focus investigated, the top official is said to have flown to the Iranian capital a few weeks ago to settle inheritance matters after her father’s death. On the spot, she also had contact with state authorities, the news magazine said. In doing so, the Iranian woman holding a German passport apparently violated the strict security precautions of her own authorities.
But that’s not all. According to the magazine, her patron, Federal Minister of the Interior Faeser, as well as Interior State Secretary Hans-Georg Engelcke and Merkel’s President of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Thomas Haldenwang (CSU), are said to have been privy to Badenberg’s illegal and fundamentally forbidden actions.
Badenberg is unlikely to face any consequences, as he is the most important person in the domestic intelligence service behind President Haldenwang. Together with Istanbul-born Sinan Selen, the three are the top leadership. Born in Tehran in 1975, Lady had attracted attention with her writing against the AfD two years ago. In a 1000-page pamphlet, Badenberg, who works for the Department of Right-Wing Extremism, assiduously compiled everything for what the intelligence agency considered the AfD’s unconstitutionality. Last month now was lifted by the Antifa sympathizer Faeser to the absolute top of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution in Cologne and is now boss over 4200 full-time employees.
The appointments of Felor Badenberg as vice president of the domestic intelligence service, the German-hating Ferda Ataman as anti-discrimination commissioner and the rumor that Faeser wants to appoint the Palestinian-born politician extraordinaire and former SPD state secretary in the Berlin Senate, Sawsan Mohammed Chebli, as state secretary for “migration and population protection” show by whom this broken country has been occupied and where the pro-migration agenda is headed.
