An Afghan of unknown age who raped an eleven-year-old girl in the city park of Neustrelitz does not have to go to prison. The city’s local court sentenced the asylum seeker to a two-year suspended sentence for the sexual abuse of minors and rape, reports the newspaper Nordkurier.

According to the prosecutor, the perpetrator arrived in Germany as an unaccompanied minor refugee without papers and last lived in a shared accommodation in the small town in Mecklenburg. Since the rapist could not produce any documents about his real age, an expert opinion was commissioned, according to which he should be about 16 years old. He was therefore sentenced according to juvenile law.

According to the prosecution, he met the child about six months ago and raped her immediately the following day. When committing the crime, he was aware of the victim’s age and that he was acting against the victim’s consent.

It’s July and, shockingly to the NYT and other media outlets, it is hot. It is another day, and another article is being used to scare the public into capitulating to the radical leftist agenda to destroy the fossil fuel industry and thereby to destroy our way of life and the economy.

The media has little concern about the massive economic harm being done to the poor, middle class, and small businesses. All that matters is power for Democrats and their agenda. 

A Wilting Climate Response

As another heat wave descends, the U.S. federal government is pulling back from the climate fight. What now?

Weather forecasters say that Britain this week may experience its highest temperature on record — more than 40 degrees Celsius, or about 105 degrees Fahrenheit. In response, officials in London have asked people to stay home, saying that vehicles may overheat and rail tracks may buckle.

The Waco Regional Airport, where weather records are recorded in Central Texas, shattered the record for most consecutive hours at or below freezing. The 205 hours of sub-freezing temperatures from February 10th to February 19th was really only possible because of one atmospheric phenomenon: the polar vortex [emphasis added]

The Earth has had heatwaves throughout history long before fossil fuels could have caused them. 

The warmest day on Earth in history appears to be in California in July of 1913, so we have had 109 years of cooler temperatures on that day in Death Valley, California while fossil fuel usage and the human population have been rising rapidly 

• 1913 – in July, the hottest heat wave ever struck California. During this heat wave, Death Valley recorded a record high temperature of 57 °C (134 °F) at Furnace Creek, which still remains the highest ambient air temperature recorded on Earth.

• 1540 European drought – Extreme drought and heatwave lasting 11 months in Europe.
• July 1757 heatwave – Europe, hottest summer in 500 years before 2003.
• 1896 Eastern North America heat wave – killed 1,500 people in August 1896.
• 1900 – historical heatwave of the center of Argentina between the first eight days of February 1900 known as “the week of fire” affected the cities of Buenos Aires and Rosario with temperatures of up to 37 °C (99 °F) but with a very high index of humidity that elevated the sensation of heat to 49 °C (120 °F) severely affecting the health of people causing at least more than 478 fatalities.

I live in Springfield, Il where the record high was 112 degrees on July 12, 1954, 68 years ago. This year, the temperature was in the low 90’s, which was a few degrees warmer than average. 1954 was during a global cooling period which lasted from 1940 to 1975. 

The Earth cooled so much that on the first Earth Day in 1970, we were warned that billions would die from starvation because of the existential threat of a coming ice age. 

A seventh grader should be given a science experiment with two variables. The first is global temperatures from 1880 until today. The second is crude oil usage from 1880 until today. The 7^thgrader would assume, from what they have been indoctrinated, that the lines on a graph would be very similar. 

He or she would be surprised with the results, which would show that temperatures have fluctuated the last 140 years around a horizontal line with periods of warming and cooling. 

The crude oil line would almost be vertical going from around zero barrels consumed in the late 1800’s to around 100 million barrels per day today. The findings of this simple experiment would show there is a zero or negative correlation between crude oil use and temperatures. The temperature could not have gone down while crude oil use was rising if there were a correlation. 

The temperature is only one or two degrees higher than it was in 1880 and this occurred after an over 500-year little ice age ended around 1860. A one to two degree warming after an ice age ended would be cyclical and normal. It certainly cannot be attributed to any variable, let alone to fossil fuels.

Sadly, the media, politicians, bureaucrats, and others, pushing the radical agenda to destroy the fossil fuel companies, will not conduct this simple experiment. Instead, they will use easily manipulated computer models, which have always been wrong, to justify the destruction of industries that directly and indirectly employ tens of millions. 

Our quality and length of life has improved tremendously with the use of fossil fuels, and it is pathetic that partisan hacks want to negate all the progress that has been made. Policies should be based on facts, not predictions from people pushing an agenda.

The bleak reality of Germany’s energy crisis has been exposed after a damning report by the Gas Infrastructure Europe association revealed that one-third of Germany’s gas storage facilities are not currently filled with gas, and many others are less than a third full.

The information made publicly available by the association, and reported by German tabloid BILD, will be difficult reading for the German federal government as nations across Europe scramble to fill gas storage tanks in anticipation of a difficult winter ahead.

The German federal government, aware of the country’s heavy reliance on Russian energy, has ordered for the country’s gas storage tanks to be 90 percent full by November 1.

However, as reported by BILD, “the Peissen natural gas storage facility (Saxony-Anhalt) is only 19.36 percent full, Bayernugs (Bavaria) 26.26 percent, Astora (Lower Saxony) 34.51 percent and the gas giant Uniper (NRW) 56.16 percent.”

Furthermore, the German news outlet reported that only “around two-thirds of the approximately 40 gas storage facilities in Germany are currently filled with gas.”

While the figure is more than in the summer of last year, it is significantly less than 2020 when storage tanks were more than 80 percent full, and more than 90 percent full by September.

Europe’s powerhouse is trailing in the wake of other European nations such as Poland, which currently has 95 percent of its storage tanks full.

Elsewhere, Hungary also enjoys sufficient reserves in natural gas, and its technology and industry minister, László Palkovics, recently knocked down calls from key German politicians to share its reserves with other European nations.

The key Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline officially down for maintenance, as announced by Russian state-owned Gazprom, although many are skeptical that this is the real reason for delays. The federal government, meanwhile, will need to find a replacement supply to ensure its storage facilities are adequately stocked to cope with the demand of German consumers as temperatures begin to drop in the autumn.

BILD does report that gas can be bought for the costly fee of €15 billion from the state-owned KfW bank in the event of an emergency; however, such a move is expected to be considered a last resort by the federal government.

Additionally, Monday’s announcement by the European Commission of an agreement with Azerbaijan to double its gas exports to the bloc could prove to be Germany’s saving grace.

“Woke” culture and sex change operations in the US military have done it no favours. In fact, in the spirit of Bertolt Brecht: “Imagine it’s war and nobody goes there!”

At the end of the Vietnam War, in 1973, conscription was abolished to avoid the negative publicity that the high death toll for an American lost cause had generated, reported The Spectator. “It almost seems as if the last twenty years of failed wars and thousands of wounded warriors have made would-be recruits reconsider their life choices,” it noted.

NBC reported in June that all branches of the military were missing their recruitment targets for this year. According to the Heritage Foundation ‘s Lieutenant General Thomas Spoehr, because of this, “the sustainability of the volunteer army is being called into question”.

The US military has only met 40 percent of its recruitment target for the tax year ending September 30. The reasons are lack of suitability, Covid restrictions, competition from a thriving civilian job market and no desire to serve.

Throwing unprecedented amounts of money at the problem of up to $50 000 for recruiting and remaining in the force, have not solved it either. Moreover, the Biden administration’s Assistant Secretary for Health Rachel Levine, appears to be heightening the crisis.

According to Army Chief of Staff General James McConville, only 23 percent of Americans ages seventeen to twenty-four are fit to serve without a special permit because of obesity, drug use or a criminal record. And the number of those who are fit to serve, is shrinking every year.

An internal Department of Defense survey cited by NBC, revealed that only 9 percent of those eligible are interested in serving in the Army. Of those surveyed, half said they would face physical problems and 57 percent said they would face emotional or psychological problems.

In 1991 a survey showed that when asked “How proud are you to be an American?” 96 percent said they were “very proud” or “fairly proud”. Gallup’s recent annual survey found that only 65 percent were “extremely proud” or “very proud.”

Pride in being American was significantly higher among men, Republicans voters and those over 55 without a college degree. There has also been a geographic divide: In 2013, 44 percent of all military recruits came from the South.

Georgia and Florida topped recruitment ratios, while the Northeast, with the exception of Maine, lagged far behind. Racially, however, recruits mirrored the overall distribution of ethnicity in the United States. And notably, in 2019, 79 percent of Army recruits had a family member who had served.

Rod Dreher of the American Conservative therefore offered at least one reason for the recruiting crisis: “Why exactly should non-woke veterans encourage their sons and daughters to put their lives on the line to serve an institution that will train them to hold their family traditions and moral and religious convictions in contempt?”

The shortage of recruits will eventually force a reduction in troop levels and therefore military spending. In March the Army announced that instead of adding 70 000 troops, it would shrink by 12 000.

Two Guyanese nationals have been arrested by French police accused of stabbing a 71-year-old male multiple times and stealing his vehicle, according to local media.

The incident reportedly took place late on Friday evening at a roundabout in Betton, near Rennes in northwest France.

The elderly victim, from Saint-Grégoire, was found unconscious by rescuers and suffering from at least six stab wounds. The victim was immediately transported by emergency services to a nearby hospital and remains in a critical condition.

In a press release, the public prosecutor, Philippe Astruc, specified that the investigations made it possible to quickly arrest two young men on Saturday afternoon at approximately 2:30 p.m. The men were aged 17 and 18 and were both born in Guyana. The men were found in Le Mans, in the Mercedes vehicle stolen from the victim, the fdesouche.com news outlet reported.

“He declares having met the victim by chance on the street in Rennes on the night of July 14 to 15,” the prosecutor said of one of the suspects. “He admits having stabbed the victim, inside and outside the vehicle. He explains his act because of the supposed homosexuality of the victim, but also with a view to stealing [his car], which is why he left with his vehicle,” the prosecutor said.

Nearly by a miracle, the victim is alive. “The forensic certificate mentions the presence of six wounds compatible with the action of a knife and fractures of the facial bone,” the prosecutor stated, adding that doctors expected the victim to remain in intensive care for 30 days.

“A criminal judicial investigation into attempted murder due to the sexual orientation of the victim and robbery with a weapon has been opened,” added the prosecutor, who said he would be requesting pre-trial detention.

The most unscrupulous political accomplice of the vaccine lobby, German Health Minister Karl Lauterbach, is sticking to the recommendation of a fourth jab (although all experts advise against it and it no longer has any effect at all, except a harmful one).

Vaccine pushers are increasingly at a loss – especially since their attempts to force Germans to recurrently take their products by means of compulsory vaccination have failed resoundingly in the Bundestag.

The most elegant solution to the problem from the point of view of the pandemic’s big earners and crisis profiteers, is literally dumping and destroying millions of vaccine doses, purchased at the taxpayer’s expense for nine-figure sums, because they exceed their expiry date due to lack of demand.

The magnitude of the unscrupulous planning and procurement failure of the “expert” Lauterbach is nevertheless frightening. In Germany, far more shots had to be destroyed than previously feared, as emerged from an answer of the Federal Ministry of Health to the parliamentary question of the CSU Member of Parliament Stephan Pilsinger.

Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland (RND) reported that at least 3,9 million doses of the Moderna vaccine alone had expired between December 2021 and the end of June 2022, “at different stages of the logistical supply chain”. State Secretary for Health Edgar Franke confirmed the gigantic waste of tax money – about one million more than Lauterbach had estimated in April. And even the 3,9 million doses might not be the end as the batches to be destroyed could be far more numerous.

Franke made it clear that the number of expired vials could be even higher because the data on this is only available to the government to the extent that it is reported back to pharmaceutical wholesalers by doctors or pharmacies, he said in his reply.

According to government information, it has been confirmed that of the 134.3 million vaccine doses ordered and partially delivered by Germany between December 2021 and the end of June 2022, not a single dose was donated, according to Franke.

Allegedly, the Gates vaccine alliance GAVI is responsible for this. In June, it had declared that from a global perspective, there was “no need” for the vaccines.

Pilsinger, who had asked the question about the disposed vaccine doses, sharply criticised the bad planning and thus indirectly also Germany’s Corona and vaccination policy: “It shocks me that once again more vaccines than expected were discarded. Especially in times of tight budgets and inflation, the state must not throw the citizens’ tax money senselessly out the window.” Once again, Lauterbach was shown to be “a theoretician and not a practitioner”. That is a kind description for a dishonest scaremonger.

At least 350 people have died in Spain from high temperatures during the past week, according to estimates by Spain’s Carlos III Health Institute. In Portugal, health officials said that nearly 240 people died in the first half of July due to the high temperatures, which reached 117 degrees Fahrenheit earlier in the month.

Air conditioning in private homes is persona non-grata in Europe. Some of the resistance is cultural. A lot of Europeans seem to feel that breezes are more likely to kill them than 7 hours in 100-degree temperatures.

But a big part of the reason is environmentalism.

90% of American households have air conditioning. As do 86% of South Koreans, 82% of Australians, 60% of Chinese, 16% of Brazilians and Mexicans, 9% of Indonesians and less than 5% of Europeans.

A higher percentage of Indian households have air conditioning than their former British colonial rulers.

France24, the country’s state-owned television network, advised people suffering from temperatures rising as high as 110 degrees to take cold showers and stick their feet in saucepans of cold water.

Desperate Frenchmen trying to get into any body of water they can have led to a 30% rise in drownings. The dozens of people dead are casualties of the environmentalist hatred of air conditioners.

Only 5% of French households have air conditioning. Even in response to the crisis, the authorities are only deploying temporary air conditioning to kindergartens.

The resulting numbers are horrifying.

Record-breaking heat waves in France this summer caused the deaths of nearly 1,500 people, according to the country’s health ministry.

That was 2019, but assume 2022 will be bad.

The 2003 heat wave killed 7,000 people in Germany. And, today, only 3% of German households have air conditioning. Germany’s Ministry of the Environment refused to back air conditioning as a response to global warming.

Temperatures in Dusseldorf hit 105 degrees. Officials in Dusseldorf had recently rejected proposals to install air conditioning systems because they’re bad for the environment.

The Biden administration and leftists want the same situation in America and are fighting to wipe out private air conditioners. And kill thousands each year.

Western university has removed an image posted online after backlash that generated some controversy.

The school says the post was meant to support the LGBTQ community and has acknowledged that part of the image was upsetting for some members of the Muslim community.

The post was made to mark the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia and shows two women in hijabs about to kiss.

Many commented on the image saying it was “inappropriate” and that the illustration being portrayed was “disrespectful to the Muslim community.”

Opiyo Oloya, the associate vice president for equity diversity and inclusion at Western issued a statement, “Our intent with the post was to demonstrate Western’s unwavering support for the 2SLGBTQ+ community on the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia.”

“We are fully committed to continuing to advocate for and acknowledge the voices of those within the 2SLGBTQ+ community. We also understand the image was upsetting for some members of the Muslim community,” said Oloya.

“Our concern is that we were not consulted about this,” said Aarig Anwer, an Iman at the London Mosque told CTV News. “Now the conversation is about how do we move forward and make this an opportunity.”
