The Minister of the Interior seems to have some need for action here: Austria’s secret service, the newly named “Directorate of State Protection and Intelligence” (DSN), wants the eXXpress to disclose data of a reader because he sharply criticised the Muslim parallel society.
The letter from the “Directorate for State Protection and Intelligence” ((DSN – previously known as BVT) caused some astonishment in the eXXpress editorial office: Without stating an order by a public prosecutor’s office, the “DSN” employees want all data from an eXXpress reader.
The reason given by the secret service agents: “The ☐ accused ☒ unknown perpetrator is specifically suspected of having committed the offence according to § 283 StGB by publishing the comment of 19.01.2022, 17:28, a comment on the article in question with inflammatory content. The offender is suspected of having committed the offence under section 283 of the Criminal Code by publishing a commentary on the article with inflammatory content.
In this article, eXXpress once again presents the commentary so that every reader can decide for himself whether this criticism of the developments in Austria and of a Muslim parallel society is really inflammatory.
Even if one is absolutely not of the opinion of Mr. “Herzig” – the reader just wrote his personal opinion in a commentary: For example, that Muslims are allowed to “do what they want” here in our country. Or that they also – which might apply to only a few Muslims – “work little or not at all”.
Even if this opinion is completely mistaken, it could be considered the personal opinion of an Austrian.
This approach of trying to prevent media users from expressing their opinions freely by threatening them with a prison sentence of up to two years in case of a conviction according to § 283 of the Criminal Code (incitement to hatred) is highly questionable – just like the actions of the “DSN” without a mandate from the judiciary.
Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (ÖVP) has now been informed about these incidents in his Secret Service and State Protection Directorate: The persecution of readers with the threat of heavy prison sentences is no small matter.
We at eXXpress absolutely do not represent this reader opinion of the user “A. Herzig”, we also support – if this should take place – the public prosecutor’s office in its work. However, we will continue to clearly reject secret service snooping in the future.
The name of the head of the secret service is "Omar Haijawi-Pirchner", editor's note.
Regina Gerken was always committed to helping others. She enjoyed gardening and volunteered to take care of a front garden. This was also the case on a Saturday in September 2021, when within a few seconds nothing in her life and that of her family was the same as before.
Abdul Malik A., whom she did not know, stabbed her. “He was bothered by the fact that there was work going on,” it was clear to the district court on Thursday. In an acute psychotic state, A. had attacked, the judges said. They ordered his placement in a psychiatric hospital.
A. had come to Germany as a refugee in 2015. “He did not live strictly religiously,” the presiding judge said. But around the turn of 2020/21, a mental illness had broken out in him, she said. He lost his job, broke off contact with friends, stopped drinking alcohol. He felt persecuted, withdrew, devoted himself more to his religion.
Out of nowhere, he rammed a knife into Regina Gerken’s neck. The most severe injuries led to a right-sided paralysis. She can no longer speak. A passer-by intervened and was also injured.
When he was arrested, A., who is now 30 years old, is said to have declared that he had “sent her to paradise” and that “women should not work”. In court, A. explained that he stabbed out of fear – “a mistake happened, an accident”.
Legally, the crime was attempted murder as well as dangerous and grievous bodily harm. The accused had attacked Gerken in Wilmersdorf in an insidious manner, the judgement continued. At the same time, he was a man suffering from paranoid schizophrenia. At the time of the crime, his culpability was no longer given and he could not be punished.
The public prosecutor and the defence lawyer had also pleaded for placement in the hospital of the psychiatric treatment centre. “It is clear that Mr A. is dangerous at the moment”, said the lawyer.
It was not an easy life for A. – “locked up indefinitely – it is a hard pill to swallow”.
The first day of the tunnel murder trial focused on analysing the personality of the accused. Hussein Ahmed presents himself as “helpful, friendly, empathetic”. “Impulsive, lying and manipulative”, the experts attest to him.
(…) He claims to own a “very nice house” in Syria. He is homeless and housed in a communal building with other Kurds. He even forges his ex-wife’s identity papers when the couple arrives in France with their two children in 2016. She is only 15 years old. He claims she is 22.
(…) For the defence, lawyer Frédéric Dutin regrets that “his social environment is limited to his ex-wife and her statements”, an ex-wife who incidentally denounces rapes committed by the accused. Addressing the jury, he continues: “The crux of this trial is the cultural difference between Syria and France and the background of this displaced migrant.”
(…) The first police officers to intervene give CPR to the victim, “whose body is already cold”. “I tried to give her mouth-to-mouth, but there was nothing left to hold her. She was like dislocated. Her jaw was dislocated,” reports a police officer, moved by his painful memories. “I have seen many people in an impossible condition in my 27 years in the profession, but she was like slaughtered. Blood was pouring from the back of her head, her ears, her nose and her mouth.” Sud Ouest

Two siblings from Iran who claim to have proof that they are halakhically Jewish and who have sought asylum, first in Sweden and then in Germany, are anxiously awaiting their threatened deportation to Iran, where they say they will face execution.
Pourya, 31, and Tala Heydariaref, 34, left Iran in October 2019 and arrived in Sweden on tourist visas. Their initial goal was to move to Israel from Sweden. That plan, however, failed when they did not receive a positive response from the Jewish Agency for Israel for reasons unknown to this writer. They thus had to apply for political asylum in Sweden on grounds that they have no freedom of religion in Iran.
Pourya claims: “We are Jewish from our mother’s side and we believe in Judaism. We couldn’t follow our beloved religion in Iran because our father was Muslim and according to Sharia of Islam that Iran practices, anyone who has a Muslim father has to follow Islam. And if not, they will get executed. So we decided to leave Iran to live as free individuals as Jews.”
Pourya said that he has letters from rabbis in Iran that confirm him and his sister as Jewish: “We also have letters by rabbis in Sweden and the US that confirm us as Jewish from our mother’s side. My grandmother from my mother’s side was a Jewish refugee from Russia and I have her passport picture as well. I also have a letter from the Tehran Central Jewish Committee stating that our Jewish great grandmother, Hava Mina Zadeh, who died in 1985, is buried at Tehran’s Jewish cemetery.”
However, the Swedish immigration office in Stockholm tried to force them to sign a letter to deport them to Iran, said Pourya. “We refused and they gave us a letter urging us to leave Sweden in three weeks.”
Then the two siblings arrived in Germany and applied for asylum there.
“Now Germany wants to send us back to Sweden. They told us that they would deport us to Sweden on June 20. But they have not even assessed our asylum case. They just gave a letter to our lawyer that said that we had to go back to Sweden although we had told them that our life would be in danger in Sweden as well. We know Sweden will deport us to Iran.”
The two siblings have been living in a refugee camp in Hamburg since April 5. “They gave us one room but the living conditions here are incredibly difficult and inhumane and we have been told we will be deported to Sweden.
“Germany says that because I and my sister applied for asylum in Sweden, it is Sweden that is responsible for us. We are sure Sweden will deport us to Iran because they rejected our cases, and they claim that we can live safely in Iran like other Jews. But they do not seem to understand that someone with a Muslim father can’t follow other religions in Iran and if they do so, they get executed according to sharia. The rabbi of Stockholm also gave Swedish authorities a letter supporting us and explaining that we won’t have freedom of religion in Iran. But Sweden said that we would not be able to apply for asylum for the next four years.
“So Germany and Sweden have not even taken our cases seriously although we clearly documented that our lives will be in danger in Iran due to Sharia law. We believe that it is discriminatory of these two governments to deny us our basic rights although they know we won’t be able to survive as Jews in Iran. Is it not antisemitic to treat our cases with such indifference and denial and not even care about the fact that Sharia law will execute us if we go to Iran and attempt to live as Jews?”
The two siblings said they would like to live in any country but Iran where they will be able to practice their faith safely.
Pourya said: “I want to ask Israeli people and Jews all across Europe to help us to stay in safety so we can have our freedom of religion and practice Judaism which is our most basic human right.”
Perhaps Israel’s Interior Ministry can review the case and provide a definitive answer..
Germany’s state-funded media and television networks are producing a full range of pro-transgender content, and one of their main target audiences happen to be young children. This controversial children’s programming routinely depicts transgender people as courageous figures who should not only be admired but also emulated, with little to no discussion devoted to potential downsides or side effects involved with the life-altering decisions associated with hormone therapy and surgery.
One of the biggest promoters of pro-transgender content is children’s programming giant KiKA, which receives a massive amount of taxpayer money from public television networks ARD and ZDF, both networks accused of an extreme left-wing bias. KiKA has long presented gender change, hormone blockers, and even transition surgery as positive and healthy goals for young people despite a growing number of doctors and even medical authorities, including the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare, now advising against children and teens taking hormone blockers due to the adverse medical and psychological costs.
All the way back in 2016, KiKA produced a segment entitled “When you think that you are a girl, you are a girl,” which featured a 10-year-old who changed their gender. The host of the show did not offer nuanced or unbiased advice to children facing similar questions about their gender or sexuality, but instead gave a full-throated endorsement:
“Imagine you are a girl, but something inside you tells you that you would much rather be a boy — or vice versa: You have the body of a boy but feel like a girl. This is something that can make you suffer a lot. Children who are like this are often very unhappy, until they actually change their sex sometime later. It was the same with ‘Sam’ from Sweden, who until recently was still the girl Iris to everyone.”
Another program on KiKA showcases a 12-year-old transgender girl, her transition, and how she deals with the issue in her high school, all in a positive and sympathetic light, while yet another KiKA program known as “LOGO” produced an animated pro-trans, pro-diversity animated short.
Earlier this year, the beloved children’s program known as “The Mouse” (“Die Maus”) featured a pro-transgender episode, a move which made headlines across Germany.
KiKA has also created programming that allows children and teens to interact directly with transgender people. “NIck,” who was born a biological girl but who has since transitioned to a man, was recently featured on a KiKA “chat,” in which children up to 16 could ask him about transgender topics.
“Hey, I am a trans man answering a few questions today for kids who might be in a similar situation or just interested in the topic,” he began the discussion on an episode of “PUR+,” which is produced by KIKA.
One of the children began by asking him what “trans” means, and from there, the questions kept on coming. Although the Q&A session may have simply come across as informative, this was not the first appearance of Nick on the network, and in fact, ZDF has been following Nick for years. A commentary piece from Martin Voigt in the German newspaper Junge Freiheit describes how Nick has been portrayed to children and young teens, with each episode painting transitioning as not only the right choice, but a choice that could make many other troubled young people happy:
Bringing Nick’s story to the channel was not a spontaneous idea. ZDF has been accompanying the now 18-year-old since 2019. The young viewers can observe his regular testosterone injections, the change in the gender description on his ID card, his strength training, and the amputation of his breasts.
The first message is simple: The transition process is quick and easy. Nick allegedly decided to live as a boy, which is also medically possible without any problems. He regularly receives testosterone, which makes his body more and more masculine. The broadcast also mentions his operations as if they were a trifle.
However, the program does not say that a female body always remains a female body regardless of hormones and surgeries, and also fails to address the lifelong, irreversible consequences and side effects the whole process entails. Nick’s father even emphasizes that his initial concerns turned out to be unfounded the more he dealt with the topic. According to his statements, his son is proud of his deepening voice and the slight shadow of his beard.
Recently, several medical studies indicate that hormone treatments for young people lack a scientific basis and that the risks outweigh the benefits, including a major report from the Swedish Agency for Medical and Social Evaluation. The agency indicated that it is unclear after treating hundreds of patients over the years whether the treatments are effective or safe. The report showed how 13 minors treated with hormones suffered severe side effects, and a clinic at Karolinska Hospital in Solna, Sweden, decided to limit hormone treatments due to the serious side effects it was observing, including cardiovascular disease, infertility, thrombotic disease, and cancer, according to Dagen news outlet.
“We cannot rule out negative effects, and we do not know whether the treatment is useful,” said the head of Sweden’s Board of Health, Thomas Lindén, to Swedish news agency SVT.
However, Nick’s story on KiKA does not provide any nuance or offer any caution. It is designed to be a “personal and powerful story” to garner sympathy and perhaps even encouragement to others, with Voigt writing:
Doubts and critical questions seem inappropriate. Instead, the episode touts the decision to transition as an admirable and courageous journey. For Nick – and implicitly for everyone who feels the same way – it represents the right step. The downplaying of testosterone injections is reminiscent of an article in the children’s news show [another program on KIKA] several weeks ago. Then, Tim talked about his gender reassignment from being a girl to being a boy as if it were a usual and routine procedure. There is a method to this. Memorable characters like Nick and Tim convey how normal and easy it supposedly is to change a woman into a man.
The third message is manipulative: Transition makes you happy and extraordinary. And the coming out guarantees social recognition.
“Nick is so happy now because he can be who he is,” says his classmate. “Everyone took it so well.” Nick repeatedly emphasizes in the film and the chat how he used to be unhappy and how well he is doing now, thanks to hormone therapy.
The first look at his flat chest was an allegedly good and emotional moment. “A big thank you to you for telling us your story so openly and courageously,” the moderator closes the episode, but not before setting the tone for the KiKa chat: “It shows us that we can be everything, the key is that we feel good about it.”
Of course, those responsible for bringing the stories of Nick and Tim to children’s television know that more and more young girls are falling for the transgender hype. Doctors across all media warn of a recent exponential increase in transgender self-diagnosis by young girls. These are mentally insecure, often emotionally unstable girls who storm the gender clinics because they are unhappy. Thousands of girls who are just about to be overwhelmed by their puberty see the story of becoming happy and manly, which the former girl Nick tells so impressively.
The growth in the number of young people seeking to transition has run in parallel with more and more media and cultural outlets promoting such a procedure. Germany’s Twitter class is acutely aware of many of the left-liberal trends embraced in the Anglo world, where hashtags promoting transgender issues, films, publications like the New York Times, and social media platforms like Twitter have labeled criticism of transgender ideology as a form of hate speech.
These same true believers have found a powerful platform to spread their message through Germany’s taxpayer-funded media giants, and this trend is only expected to grow. Even figures who were once heroes to the liberal left have done little to dissuade those who have taken transgender issues as a key plank in their belief system. J.K. Rowling, for example, wrote that young girls have experienced gender dysphoria in just a matter of a few years; she has subsequently faced death threats for pointing out why this trend has could come with serious consequences.
“I’m concerned about the huge explosion in young women wishing to transition and also about the increasing numbers who seem to be detransitioning (returning to their original sex), because they regret taking steps that have, in some cases, altered their bodies irrevocably, and taken away their fertility,” she wrote.
“Most people probably aren’t aware – I certainly wasn’t, until I started researching this issue properly – that ten years ago, the majority of people wanting to transition to the opposite sex were male. That ratio has now reversed. The UK has experienced a 4400% increase in girls being referred for transitioning treatment. Autistic girls are hugely overrepresented in their numbers.”
However, reports of side effects, infertility, and even cancer have done little to dissuade the glowing coverage of transgender people on German public media. It is unclear if a growing number of studies highlighting the dangers of transitioning or the testimony of a number of men and women regretting their transition will make their way onto these networks, but as of now, the message is consistent: Transitioning is a brave and righteous choice, and it will make you happy.
According to JP Morgan chief Jamie Dimon, oil prices could soar to $175 a barrel in the next few years. He predicted a global economic “hurricane”.
Dimon predicted that oil prices could soar to $175 a barrel in the coming years and that a US recession would ensue, as reported by The Telegraph newspaper. The scale of the challenges is so great that the outcome is completely uncertain, he said. “If a severe recession hits sometime in 2023, wage inflation could drop to zero literally overnight.”
American consumers have six to nine months before they run out of money.
The reason for this precarious situation given by the chairman and chief executive of JP Morgan is allegedly “the war in Ukraine”, which is accompanied by rising inflation and rising interest rates. Western nations have responded to the conflict with energy sanctions, essentially destroying their own economies.
With these statements, the longest-serving bank boss on Wall Street and the only one who was also in office during the financial crisis of 2007/2008 heightened his earlier predictions in which he had spoken of a “storm”. He said the deterioration of the situation created “unprecedented risks” which come together “with unforeseeable consequences”.
“I said there were storm clouds, big storm clouds. It’s a hurricane,” he said at at a conference sponsored by Alliance Bernstein Holdings this week. “Right now it’s kind of sunny, things are doing fine, everyone thinks the Fed can handle it. That hurricane is right out there down the road coming our way. We don’t know if it’s a minor one or Superstorm Sandy. You better brace yourself.”
The war in Ukraine is driving up the cost of energy and food, so the cost of living for citizens would rise significantly, Dimon predicted. He also alluded to Ukraine losing the war.
“Wars go wrong. They go wrong and have unintended consequences. The world’s commodity markets – wheat, oil, gas – are in turmoil, and I think they will remain so. We are not taking the right measures to protect Europe from what will happen to oil in the short term. The price must almost inevitably rise.”
If oil prices rise to 175 or 150 dollars, CO2 emissions will increase in the long term because poor countries will no longer burn oil and gas, but coal.
According to the Wall Street Journal, India in particular has been benefitting largely from energy sanctions.
“Europe just targeted Russian crude with its toughest sanctions yet, but shippers and refiners are getting the oil to market by obscuring its origins. Some fuels believed to be partially made from Russian crude landed in New York and New Jersey last month.
The cargoes were brought through the Suez Canal and across the Atlantic from Indian refineries, which have been big buyers of Russian oil, according to shipping records, Refinitiv data and analysis by Helsinki-based think tank Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air.”
Thus India has recently been buying oil from Russia for $35 a barrel and selling at a large profit.
In 1984, George Orwell essentially predicted the internet, envisioning a world in which all information is stored electronically. Winston Smith’s Ministry of Information job has him recovering back issues of The Times and “correcting” to Big Brother’s past predictions to align with present realities. Someone at the BBC was taking notes because, in an article quoting a rape victim, the BBC altered to “they/them” the masculine pronouns she used when talking about her rapist because the rapist claims to be “transgender.” Understanding why the BBC did this is important if we want to understand the latest phase in the leftist war on the West.
The quote, given by an anonymous lesbian, initially read: “I was too young to argue and had been brainwashed by queer theory, so he was a ‘woman’ even if every [fiber] of my being was screaming throughout, so I agreed to go home with him. He used physical force when I changed my mind upon seeing his penis and raped me.”
A source for The Times claimed the story first contained all male references, but a heated editorial meeting involving “woke” employees at the news website led to a change of language.
“Some journalists argued that the quote should remain intact, while others said it should reflect the trans woman’s preferred she/her pronouns,” The Times reported.
The language alterations were done to an October 2021 article discussing how transgender women believe that lesbians are transphobic because they are typically not romantically, or sexually interested in them.
This was not a situation in which a BBC journalist violated the outlet’s woke policies by properly identifying a “transgender woman” (i.e., a man pretending to be a woman) as “he” or “him.” Instead, the BBC deliberately altered the truth—that the woman quoted used the pronouns ‘he,’ ‘his,’ and ‘him’—to create an artificial reality consistent with its dystopian mindset.
We’ve long known, though, that the BBC is a propaganda outlet rather than a news organization (something obvious to Israel’s supporters decades ago), so why does this story matter? It matters because it reveals how significant transgenderism, which is ubiquitous today, is to the left. So, again, we must ask “why”? Here’s my best guess about the answer to that question.
The new left’s greatest enemy is the Bible. That’s because the Bible and the Western culture flowing from it stand for a few ideas make it impossible for the left to achieve total dominance:
There is a God. Under leftism, there can be no authority greater than the state, with the anthropomorphism of the state embodied in the current leader (e.g., Kim Jong Un).
There are fixed moral principles: The Ten Commandments do not change according to the political needs of the day or power struggles within the party. Leftism is purely relativistic because morality, like everything else on the left, is tied to power.
The individual has value: The Bible says each of us is created in God’s image, with the corollary being we all have inestimable worth. Socialism, however, is predicated on collectivism, with individuals’ value determined by their utility to the state.
The family unit: The Western Biblical tradition is built around the nuclear family, which is the antithesis of the state. In a family, each person matters and the family unit will fight the state if need be (witness angry mamas at school boards) to protect the family.
All these principles underly America’s foundational documents: The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
Leftists tried to destroy the western Biblical tradition by pointing to Western racism. However, religious people ultimately agreed, saying the equivalent of “You know, you’re right because the Bible says that we are all equal before God in whose image we’re made.”
Leftists also tried to use feminism to attack the western Bible tradition. Again, though, religious people agreed (“You know, you’re right. Not only are we all equal before God in whose image we’re made, but Eve came from Adam’s rib, meaning she is neither above nor below him but equal to him, although different from him.”)
The attack on gender, though, may be the one that succeeds in destroying entirely the Biblical tradition that underpins our Constitution and everything else that is Western culture. If the left succeeds in undermining the entire concept of gender, there is no way to align that with the Bible.
The Bible is clear: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them” and “Male and female created he them; and blessed them….” There is no third gender in the Bible. If leftists can succeed in changing reality to “prove” that the Bible is wrong as to the most fundamental aspect of human life and that which flows from it (individualism, morality, family), it has discredited the Bible entirely. Leftism wins.
And that’s why it matters that the BBC committed fraud against its readers by changing the rapist’s pronouns.
