Mossad Stops Assassinations by Iran in Germany and France

The Mossad – operating in Iran – apprehended and interrogated an Iranian national who was leading a plot to kill an Israeli diplomat and a US general, sources have confirmed.

An audio recording released on Saturday showed a photo of Mansour Rasouli admitting he had been ordered to establish a cell to assassinate a worker at the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul, a US general stationed in Germany and a journalist in France.

Rasouli was arrested and questioned in Iran, a rarity as the Mossad regularly operates in conjunction with foreign intelligence services to thwart attacks but almost always from outside the Islamic Republic.

Officials said the planned attack shows the threat the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps poses is not isolated to Israel and needs to be confronted accordingly.

News of the thwarted plot was first reported by London-based Iran International on Saturday.

The Quds Force, the IRGC branch responsible for overseas operations, planned to carry out the assassinations via drug cartels, with the Islamic Republic reportedly willing to pay over $1 million for the targets.

The planned hits were organized by a member of Quds Force’s Unit 840stationed in Europe, who was paid $150,000 to “prepare for the assassinations” by using his connections to various European drug lords.

Unit 840 is a relatively secretive operational unit that organizes terrorist infrastructure outside Iran against Western targets and opposition groups, according to the IDF.

Defense officials said the failed assassinations join a long list of similar plots, including recent ones in Kenya and Colombia.

Turkish, British and American reports over the last few years have accused Iran of using major international crime organizations to help advance its goals abroad, which include carrying out terrorist plots. According to reports, Iranian intelligence has employed the Zindashti cartel, headed by heroin kingpin Naji Sharifi Zindashti, to assassinate or abduct Iranian dissidents living in Turkey since 2015.

In 2020, Turkish police said 13 people connected to Zindashti were arrested on charges of collaboration with Iran’s intelligence operations.

In February, Turkish media reported that Turkish and Israeli intelligence forces foiled an Iranian assassination attempt on the life of Israeli businessman Yair Geller. In October 2021, it was reported that Israeli businessmen, including Teddy Sagi, were the targets of Iranian terror in Cyprus.

Germany: Muslim film star took part in incitement against Jews in Berlin – He played in a film against anti-Semitism among others

Huge scandal around the renowned anti-extremism film ” Nasser Hund” (“Wet Dog”)! The film is about the Iranian Jew Soheil, who is ostracised by anti-Semitic Muslims – and therefore conceals his Jewish identity. Now it has become known that one of the main actors, Mohammad Eliraqui (23), who plays a close friend of Soheil, took part in anti-Semitic hate rallies.

Videos on Twitter and TikTok show the actor at a Palestinian anti-Israel demonstration in the Neukölln district of Berlin. Eliraqui is standing there next to a group of young men who worship Hamas terrorist Mohammed Deif and call for violence against Israel and Jews. Israel should be destroyed, they demand.

Eliraqui was also present at the anti-Israel demonstrations on April 16 and 18. This is shown by videos that the actor posted on TikTok and then deleted again. Anti-Semitic terror organisations marched at the demonstrations, chanting slogans such as “Israel kills children”.

Background: The film is based on the book “A Wet Dog is Better than a Dry Jew” by Arye Sharuz Shalicar. Shalicar was born in Germany after his family fled to Germany from Iran because of anti-Semitic hostility.

When he revealed his Jewish identity in the Berlin district of Wedding, he was attacked and ostracised by the people in his surroundings. Shalicar has since moved to Israel to escape the anti-Semitism in Germany.

The fact is that both the book and the film bluntly address the rampant hatred of Jews in Muslim communities, which is why the film was strongly acclaimed by culture and politics.

  • The German Film and Media Rating (FBW) awarded the film the rating “especially valuable”.
  • The German government put 15,000 euros into the film’s distribution, and the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg also supported the film with 200,000 euros.

Book author Shalicar is appalled when asked: “If Mohammad really marched there, that is regrettable from my point of view, because the story on which the film is based criticises precisely this blatant Muslim anti-Semitism. The film is about what I experienced throughout my youth in the Wedding district of Berlin: That young people, just because they are Jewish, are ostracised.”

Shalicar continues, “As a young actor, Mohammed could be a role model for some young people. All the more important that he stands up for peace and against hate, as I do at every opportunity.”

  • The head of the Young Forum of the German-Israeli Society, Aras-Nathan Keul, makes it clear in the newspaper BILD: “The actor is a role model for young Germans with a migrant background. With this action he has disappointed everyone. Because if you want to be a role model, you have to build bridges and live tolerance. Incitement against Israel and Jews – be it in Arabic or German language – is only for losers.”

“A Wet Dog” director Damir Lukacevic told BILD: “Mohammad is Palestinian and stands by his people. He distances himself from any hatred against Jews and against anti-Semitism. He got into an argument with this group of demonstrators who can be seen in this footage chanting hate and anti-Semitism, and then he distanced himself from this group. He distances himself from any violence. Mohammad compares Judaism and Islam like two cousins who belong together. Mohammad stands by the values conveyed in the film A Wet Dog. Mohammad stands for building common bridges between Judaism and Islam and not building walls. Mohammad stands for peace and for reconciliation.”

Eco-terrorism: Climate cult sabotages oil pipelines

The climate cult “Last Generation” is getting serious. It has now attempted to disrupt pipeline supplies as part of ongoing protest actions. The sabotage actions took place in at least two German states.

Photos circulated by the sect on social media showed an activist standing next to a valve on a pumping station near Ramersbach in Rhineland-Palatinate. The Koblenz police said two people had been stopped. Criminal proceedings are being initiated, they added.

Another activist stated in a video that she had pressed the “emergency wheel” at the “Friendship” oil pipeline near Schwedt in Brandenburg and interrupted the flow of crude oil. The police responsible for Schwedt in Frankfurt (Oder) confirmed the incident. According to the police, a man and a woman were involved, who had chained or glued themselves to the equipment. Whether the oil flow was actually interrupted remained uncertain.

In a press release, the group said that “crude oil pipelines had been turned off all over Germany, thus interrupting the flow of oil”. In teams of two, activists had entered the emergency shut-off stations of the pipelines and “activated the shut-off valves with their own hands”, which in emergencies allowed the flow of oil and gas to be turned off safely.

The group had already announced its action last week. The security authorities have been registering a radicalisation of the climate protests for some time.

French presidential election: Torn ballot papers and rumors of election fraud

As with almost all recent elections, even in so-called “stable democracies”, allegations of irregularities appear on social networks after the results have been announced. An example is the presidential election in the US in 2020, or the Swedish election in 2018, where the electoral authority’s system crashed and SD’s figures had fallen sharply when the system started up again. There were also reports of missing or destroyed ballot papers. Now the same phenomenon seems to have occurred in France.

Several social media users in France reported incidents with the election materials they had received in their mailboxes. It is stated that many voters had a small, barely noticeable, tear mark on the ballot paper that applied to Marine Le Pen, something that makes the ballot paper invalid.

The French electoral law is detailed on what makes a vote valid or not. In France, a ballot paper with notes, deletions or that it is torn means that the vote is annulled. Even a vote for someone who is not a candidate or if there are several ballot papers in the envelope means that the vote is not valid.

Invalid ballot papers, in the same way as blank ballot papers, do not count. The Constitutional Council justified this decision as follows: “The President is elected by an absolute majority of the votes cast. Reconciling blank votes to the votes cast: would make it more difficult to decide the first round; would prevent the election in the second round if the candidate who received the most votes did not receive more votes than his opponent’s plus blank ballot papers.”

As soon as the results were announced, on the evening of Sunday, April 24, the two candidates acknowledged the election result. But far from everyone did the same.

As of Saturday, rumors were circulating on social networks regarding Marine Le Pen’s ballot papers that had been torn “deliberately for them to be annulled”. On Sunday afternoon, others called for the polls to be checked to ensure that Marine Le Pen’s ballot papers were not “hidden”.

On Sunday evening, a feature of the TV channel France 2 with an error in the figures was immediately interpreted as proof of electoral fraud. In conflict with the stated result of 58,5 percent for Emmanuel Macron, the number of votes was shown, something that instead gave the win to Le Pen. Despite the messages from the editors who explained that it was all due to a “technical error”, the rumor continues to circulate.

On Tuesday, a “citizens’ collective” demanded a recount of votes, or even a re-election. A power of attorney is circulating to authorize two lawyers to represent “deceived voters” in the “election fraud case”.

This, of course, is reminiscent of the reactions in the United States following Donald Trump’s defeat. This has led to some American politicians commenting on the French election and Wendy Rogers, a senator from Arizona, tweeted shortly after the announcement of the result: “Macron stole the election. Dig deeper, French patriots!” The tweet has since been tagged by Twitter as “misleading”, but the idea that the French election has been manipulated continues to circulate.

Almost a third of Marine Le Pen’s voters already believed that the election was rigged, according to a survey underscoring the widespread distrust with the electoral process, notably among supporters of the populist National Rally candidate.

The Ifop institute findings were published before the second round of voting. Some 14 percent of voters said the result of the election would be falsified, while another 31 percent said they did not know and only 55 percent were confident that there would be no fraud.

Among Le Pen’s voters, 30 percent thought that the election was rigged.
