France: Mosque near Bordeaux closed for six months because of “Salafist ideology”

Today, Monday March 14, the prefect of the Gironde department, Fabienne Buccio, ordered the closure of the Al-Farouk mosque in Pessac, near Bordeaux, for six months, reports the newspaper Le Figaro. The association “Rassemblement des musulmans de Pessac” is accused of promoting “a radical Islam” and spreading “a Salafist ideology”.

According to a lawsuit that has been ongoing since February 24, the prefect of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Gironde regions, Fabienne Buccio, considers that the mosque run by the association “Rassemblement des musulmans de Pessac” “promotes a radical Islam and transmits a Salafist ideology” by ” sermons and statements” that have “regularly called for flouting the laws of the Republic, justifying attacks and glorifying martyrdom”.

This mosque is not only a place where such content is disseminated, but also a place where hateful publications about Israel are disseminated (…), where there are calls to secede from society and where Muslims who do not share their radical view of Islam are condemned,” the prefecture said in its statement. The mosque “regularly hosts imams known for their closeness to radical Islam and their Salafist ideology, and supports terrorist organisations or entities or individuals that promote radical Islam,” the prefecture detailed.

By such actions, the Al-Farouk mosque incites “violence, hatred or discrimination” and promotes “the committing of acts of terrorism”. The Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, announced numerous closures and administrative closures in recent months to combat “Islamist separatism”.

Corsica explodes after assassination attempt against jailed separatist

‘French state are assassins’: Massive demonstration in support of Yvan Colonna, Bastia on Sunday. Twitter

After the attempted assassination of Yvan Colonna by a jihadist in prison, the island has erupted. Corsicans believe President Macron ordered the attack.

Regional daily La Provence last week reported that a 35-year-old Franco-Cameroonian, a former jihadist who had been convicted of terrorism, and captured by the Americans in 2012 had been held in the same prison as Colonna. He was responsible for the attack on Colonna.

The jihadist had been transferred to the same institution a year earlier because he had become radicalized in prison in Bordeaux. After two years of detention in a Kabul prison for having fought with the Taliban, he was handed over to France in 2014 and tried in 2016. He was sentenced to 9 years in prison in view of his association with criminals preparing a terrorist act.

Gratuitous crime or special operation?

The Corsican nationalist Gilles Simeoni, the lawyer for Yvan Colonna, does not believe the attempted murder was a coincidence.

“Obviously, this gentleman was armed, he was wound up like a cuckoo clock. Who armed him, who had wound him up, who allowed him to move freely in prison, who allowed him to enter the room freely, who allowed him to strike for several long minutes to almost kill Yvan Colonna without anyone intervening, neither the supervisors who were present a few meters away nor those who were supposed to be behind the CCTV cameras? How did all this happen? I do not have much confidence in the judicial investigation or in the administrative investigation that will be carried out…”

Fires, demonstrations, blockades, Corsica has been in turmoil since the assassination attempt. Corsican solidarity is not an empty word. The island is waking up, and President Macron had not expected that. As in Guadeloupe, the government has dispatched gendarmes and repressive equipment instead of negotiating. But the ferry which had docked in the port of Ajaccio to unload the gendermes and equipment was blocked and could not release its cargo.

In Corte, Calvi and especially last night in Bastia, the forces of metropolitan order had no ammunition and had to retreat. Earlier, a Crédit Agricole bank was set ablaze.

France 3 reported that Yvan’s wife Christine Colonna wrote a letter which was distributed at a meeting of all the nationalist organizations being held in Corte on Wednesday, at the call of the student unions.

According to Le Figaro “the State is reluctant to allow the return of members of the Érignac commando to their island”. Colonna is regarded as a member of the Érignac commando which had allegedly been involved in the murder of Prefect Érignac.native advertising

Macron’s terrible timing

The timing could not be worse for public authorities which, since 2018, have refused to grant members of the Érignac commando, Alain Ferrandi, Pierre Alessandri and Yvan Colonna, the lifting of their status of particularly guarded detainees (DPS) even though their security period had lapsed.

“Twice, in January 2020 and in October 2021, the Paris Court of Appeal opposed the adjustment of the sentence of my client Pierre Alessandri. And three times, in 2018, 2019 and 2020, the Ministry of Justice and then the Prime Minister refused him the lifting of the DPS status which would have allowed him to be transferred to the Borgo prison in Corsica”, explained lawyer Éric Barbolosi.

It is all the more surprising since the prison commission has always been in favor of it. As for Yvan Colonna, his security period ended in July 2021.

According to the daily, Emmanuel Macron had promised the widow of the prefect that there would never be leniency for the Érignac commando, that is to say the transfer of these men to the prison of Borgo, Corsica. The symbolic value of the prefect, an envoy of the the powers in Paris to Corsica, explains the intransigence of the State.

Last night, at least 67 were injured including 44 CRS and gendarmes during riots in Bastia. The police unions are in unison in denouncing the violence during the evening and called for reinforcements to be sent to Corsica. On March 4, protesters blocked a ferry and prevented reinforcements from landing on the island.

According to Parisian daily Le Canard enchainé, Emmanuel Macron had negotiated with the Corsican executive for support in the presidential election, “at least in the second round”, in exchange for the “full autonomy” of the island. But the assassination attempt of Yvan Colonna has buried the agreement and since then Corsica has exploded.

While war rages in Ukraine, European Parliament votes on gender-neutral toilets

At a time when war rages in Ukraine, the European Parliament is busy voting on gender-neutral toilets, Annika Bruna, MEP for the French National Rally, complained in a tweet.

“Dear friends, while there is a war raging in Eastern Europe, the healthcare crisis has consequences that could destroy the country and inflation threatens us, the European Parliament is busy discussing the issue of its own toilets,” Bruna said. “In fact, yesterday the majority of deputies voted on an analysis of the composition of the toilets in (the European) Parliament, on how to account for all person’s needs and the necessity of gender-neutral toilets.”

Bruna was referring to a text circulated in parliament detailing the design of the EU parliament’s bathrooms, which EU MEPs voted on Wednesday of last week.

The vote comes at a time when 2.5 million refugees have fled Ukraine and thousands of civilians killed in fighting. The priorities of the establishment in Brussels have often been questioned during severe crises, and the issue of gender-neutral toilets is sure to raise some eyebrows.

“Does the European Parliament has nothing else to do, nothing else to spend taxpayers’ money on than to provide gender-neutral toilets?” Bruna asked in the video. “As representatives of the National Rally, we think there are plenty of more important problems to solve for the French and the Europeans. Clearly, we voted against this motion.”

Amidst the ongoing war in Ukraine, the European Parliament also voted last week to sanction Hungary and Poland over alleged violations of “rule of law,” despite the two countries taking in more Ukrainian refugees than any other EU nation by far. Both countries have been long-time targets of the liberal establishment in Brussels.

Alas, the Best Outcome in Ukraine Now May be a Relatively Quick Russian Victory

By Selwyn Duke

It’s hard finding an American, anywhere, who believes Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is a good thing. I’m no exception. War is ugly, and innocent people suffer as the pseudo-elites play their geopolitical chess games driven by power-lust, pocketbook and politics. This also isn’t about rooting for the “good guys.” For Vladimir Putin cannot be counted among them, and, for that matter, neither can ex-actor and Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy or our globalist “leaders.” Rather, this concerns something else.

When I was on some medication a while back and wanted to take Benadryl as well, for a more frivolous reason, I hesitated because I couldn’t determine how the drugs would interact. I didn’t take the Benadryl; as someone close to me put it, “You don’t want to risk dying over something stupid.”

The same point could be made here as our leaders, who can’t even figure out what boys and girls are, and who tiptoe around WWIII in the backyard of the nation with the world’s largest nuclear weapons stockpile:

Do we really want to risk dying in an atomic holocaust over something stupid?

This isn’t emotion-driven fear-mongering. Trends forecaster BCA Research is predicting a 10 percent chance of a civilization-ending nuclear war within the next year — and I fear the probability may be greater still.

Before anyone starts going on about the moral imperative of taking up the cudgels for Ukraine — with the pretensions about how “higher gas prices are worth it” (“vaccinating” was the previous moral obligation) — let’s review the stupidity in question.

In 1991-’92 the Soviet Union, in the grip of reformers, allowed the Berlin Wall to come down, dissolved into 15 nations, pulled the Red Army back within Russian borders and even began behaving, arguably, in a more pro-American fashion. For example, “Russia did not use its veto in the Security Council to block the U.S. war to drive Saddam Hussein, an ally, out of Kuwait,” commentator Pat Buchanan reminded us in 2007. “When 9/11 struck, Putin gave his blessing to U.S. troops using former republics as bases for the U.S. invasion.”

In other words, we had a perhaps once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reboot our relationship with Russia. We possibly could’ve even turned the Bear into an ally, a valuable asset in what is the current cold war against our main geopolitical adversary: China. For certain is that the United States and Russia have far more in common than either country does with Beijing, sharing both European heritage and essentially the same foundational religion.

But our globalist pseudo-elites didn’t seize this opportunity. What they did instead was take NATO — which had lost its raison d’être as it was created to counter an empire no longer extant, the USSR — and expand it to Russia’s very borders.

In fact, despite then-U.S. secretary of state James Baker assuring Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev in 1990 that NATO would extend “not one inch [farther] eastward,” there are now on Russia’s borders four NATO members: Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

Our globalist pseudo-elites perhaps couldn’t help themselves, being both relatively stupid and morally corrupt. They possibly couldn’t dispense with the Cold War mentality and shake the one-worlder obsession with never, ever shrinking but always expanding international alliances and unions. But you don’t have to believe Putin is a good guy — you just have to not be a dumb guy — to grasp that getting along with a fellow nuclear power is both an imperative and requires being reasonable.

Now, question: How would we react if China forged a mutual defense alliance with Mexico and then, later, drew Canada, Cuba and the Bahamas into it? Would we view this as friendly? We certainly made clear with our Monroe Doctrine and during the Cuban Missile Crisis that such meddling was a red line for us.

And so has Putin made clear repeatedly — after decades of NATO expansion — that NATO inroads into Ukraine constitute a red line for him.

Despite this, our pseudo-elites entertained Ukraine’s NATO membership for years and armed the nation with Western weapons. And the stupid bull-in-a-china-shop foreign policy just continues flowing forth and escalating the crisis. Kamala Harris recently said while doing “diplomacy” in Europe that she appreciated President Zelenskyy’s desire to join NATO. We’re currently waging total economic war on Moscow, too (though Russia expert Clint Ehrlich claims the sanctions have increased Putin’s approval rating 10 points). There also are more Western arms shipments into Ukraine, which Moscow now warns are “legitimate targets.” Are you at ease with this?

Demagogues would call my talk “un-American”; this label has already been applied to Ukraine realists just as those rejecting “vaccines” and COVID regulations were called unpatriotic. This is not only a childish reaction in a very dangerous time but is the precise opposite of the truth.

Reality: Our Founding Fathers warned against entangling alliances and involving ourselves in European wars. Yet against all reason, this is precisely what our pseudo-elites are doing — in spades. They are the ones being un-American.

To be clear, I was never one to say “Better red than dead” even back when “red” meant communist and Russia was still the Marxist Soviet Union (you know, back when our leftists had sympathy for it and long before they started kowtowing to Beijing). If China or Russia lands troops on our shores, then we do what we must; we perhaps even fight to the last man. But just as the Cuban Missile Crisis was at our doorstep, Ukraine is in Russia’s backyard.

And you must tread softly in another great power’s backyard — like it or not. For that power cannot back down at its own doorstep without losing unacceptable face and credibility. It’s quite as when chasing a man who has repeatedly avoided conflict to his very front door, screaming and shouting and refusing to leave. You may force his hand and have a fight you’ll end up wishing you didn’t start.

Note, too, that many have reveled in likening Putin to Adolf Hitler. While Nazi comparisons are overdone (including by Putin himself), if anyone really believes this, what are the implications?

Well, imagine it’s April 1945, Hitler knows WWII is lost and he’s sitting in his bunker. Now also imagine, however, that he has Putin’s 6,000 nuclear weapons a button’s touch away. What would he do?
We all know.

The point: Many have theorized that Putin may be physically and/or even mentally unwell. A renowned psychiatrist posits that he may even have Paranoid Personality Disorder. He also wields something uncomfortably close to absolute power in Russia, and it has been said that he has staked everything on this war and cannot lose it. So, while we can’t read his mind, do we really want to risk turning him into a man with nothing to lose, a man who maybe, just perhaps, could descend to a point where all he wants is to see the world burn?

Not over a Red Dawn kind of situation, either, mind you — but Ukraine?

If I could snap my fingers and undo Russia’s invasion, I would; I also would, if I could, reverse the decades of foolish NATO expansionism. But that’s water under the bridge. So what’s the solution now?

As Professor Thomas Sowell has pointed out, sometimes in life there are no solutions, only trade-offs. The best trade-off here, I believe, is a quick Russian victory in Ukraine. For the longer this crisis continues, the greater the chances that our pseudo-elites and a possibly unhinged Putin could spark nuclear carnage.

Secondarily, also worth mentioning is that the longer the war continues, the greater the probability there will be a dangerous accidental release from the Ukrainian bio-labs (Son of COVID?), which Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland recently admitted do exist.

Perhaps this is worth it to certain pseudo-elites. Some have posh fallout shelters they can retreat to, after all, and killing off billions sure would be a “great reset.” But for the rest of us, it would be a pretty stupid reason to die.

Dramatic increase in attacks on Russians in Germany

More than 300 attacks on Russian-speaking people in Germany have been registered since the beginning of the events in Ukraine, and the number of threats of violence against Germans of Russian origin and Russian citizens in Germany has increased sharply. Russians are threatened, insulted and even physically attacked.

Several German media outlets have been reporting on hostile sentiment expressed towards Russians or Germans with Russian roots living in Germany.

At the beginning of March, the SWR magazine Report Mainz asked the interior ministries of the federal states and several police headquarters in Germany for relevant information. Authorities said they were expecting more “incidents of property damage, vandalism, verbal provocation and physical altercations” as a result of recent events.

The Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of the Interior spoke of an “emotionally heated situation“. According to Der Spiegel, in the first week and a half since the events in Ukraine began, the Federal Criminal Police Office registered “318 ‘criminal-relevant events’, ranging from damage to property and insults to threats on the Internet and on the street”. Since February 24, 86 incidents have been reported to the Berlin police.native advertising

The SWR news app listed examples of other incidents:

“A bakery has renamed its Russian Zupfkuchen, a restaurant has banned people with Russian passports from entering the premises… On social media, Russians are blamed for the war. There are now calls for a boycott of Russian shops.”

Russian shops are indeed increasingly suffering from boycott calls. Russian restaurants have witnessed a clearly noticeable drop in sales of up to 30 percent. There were also threats, said manager Katharina Winter. “A man called several times and announced that he would come over with his pump gun.”

Referring to information from the Russian Embassy on March 5, it can be assumed that the total number of incidents is significantly higher. Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, a pro-war member of the Green party, meanwhile tweeted a ridiculous message of German “gender-sensitive” support to Russians.

Deutsche Welle quoted CDU General Secretary Mario Czaja who spoke out against “strong and increasing anti-Russian hostility in our own country”. His party is also on the side of the Russian-speaking people in Germany. “The attacks on them, bullying against them is not okay. We have to take action against this together,” said Czaja.

According to German weekly Stern, migration experts estimate the number of Russian-speaking immigrants at around 2,2 million.

Greece: Muslim Migrants Desecrate and ‘Turn into Toilets’ 2,339 Churches

According to a new report published by Greece’s Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, there were 2,339 incidents of church desecrations in the country between 2015 and 2020, when tiny Greece, seen as Europe’s eastern gateway, was flooded with migrants from the Islamic world.  As the Greek City Times writes in regards to the report, “There appears to be a correlation between the increase in illegal migration and the incidents of attacks on Greek Orthodox religious churches and religious spaces during the five year period which occurred during the peak of the migration crisis.”

Of the most recent year in the recording period, 2020, there were 385 incidents against Christian churches and buildings, including “vandalism, burglary, theft, sacrilege, necromancy, robbery, placement of explosive devices and other desecrations.”

Over the years, a few of these desecrations made it to English language media.

In April 2021, Muslim migrants entered into and utterly desecrated a small church.  Proud of their handiwork, they also videotaped portions of the incident and uploaded it on TikTok (available here).  It shows a topless migrant dancing to rap music as he walks towards and inside the church.  The next clip shows the aftermath: devastation inside the church, with smashed icons and the altar overthrown.

In 2020, Muslim migrants ransacked and transformed another church into their personal toilet. This public restroom was once the St. Catherine Church in Moria, a small town on the island of Lesvos, which was flooded with migrants who arrived via Turkey. “The smell inside is unbearable,” said a local. “[T]he metropolitan of Mytilene is aware of the situation in the area, nevertheless, he does not wish to deal with it for his own reasons.” The May 2020 report elaborates:

This is only the latest incident … [I]t has become extremely common for Greek Orthodox Churches to be vandalised and attacked by illegal immigrants on Lesvos….

As a deeply religious society, these attacks on churches are shocking to the Greek people and calls to question whether these illegal immigrants seeking a new life in Europe are willing to integrate and conform to the norms and values of their new countries.

These continued attacks have ultimately seen the people of Lesvos, who were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2016, become increasingly frustrated by the unresolved situation that has restricted and changed their lives as they no longer feel safe on their once near crime-free island.

While there are many such examples from between 2015-2020—in 2016, the Church of All Saints in Kallithea near Athens was set aflame by “Arabic speakers”—historically conscious Greeks see a continuum in the Islamic targeting of their churches.  As one report on the desecration of Greek churches explains,

We should remember that Greece spent 400 years under Turkish Islamic rule and that the fight for freedom was bloody.  With that in mind it is even more dramatic seeing these images of fighting age migrants desecrating Greek holy places and having no respect for the country they are allegedly seeking refuge in.

While the report likely has the 1453 sack of Constantinople (today Istanbul) in mind—when countless Greek churches, including Hagia Sophia, were desecrated, destroyed, or turned into mosques—that pattern is a century older.  In 1354, when the invading Turks first achieved a foothold in Europe, in Gallipoli, which was then Greek, immediately, “Where there were churches he [Suleiman Pasha, an early Ottoman ruler] destroyed them or converted them to mosques,” writes an Ottoman chronicler: “Where there were bells, Suleiman broke them up and cast them into fires. Thus, in place of bells there were now muezzins.” Cleansed of all Christian “filth,” Gallipoli became, as a later Ottoman bey boasted, “the Muslim throat that gulps down every Christian nation—that chokes and destroys the Christians.”[*]

Modern Greece, of course, is ultimately experiencing what all European nations that have large Muslim migrant populations are experiencing.  All around Western Europe, churches are under attack. This is especially true of those two Western European nations that hold Europe’s largest Muslim populations—Germany and France.

According to a 2017 report, in the Alps and Bavaria regions of Germany alone, countless crosses on some 200 churches were attacked and broken: “Police are currently dealing with church desecrations again and again… The perpetrators are often youthful rioters with a migration background.”

Following the arrival of a million Muslim migrants to Dülmen, Germany in 2016, a local newspaper noted that “not a day goes by” without attacks on crosses and other Christian symbols outside of churches.  Before Christmas, in the North Rhine-Westphalia region, where more than a million Muslim migrants reside, some 50 public statues of Jesus and other Christian figures were beheaded and crucifixes broken.

As for France, an average of two churches are reportedly attacked there every single day.  In one instance in 2019, Vandals plundered and used human excrement to draw a cross on the Notre-Dame des Enfants Church in Nimes (smearing fecal matter on churches is not an uncommon Muslim tactic).  Although the identities of those targeting churches is often left out of reports—as when “unknown vandals” desecrated and smashed crosses and statues at a cathedral and mangled the arms of a crucified Christ in a mocking manner—on occasion they appear.

Thus, in 2014, an enraged Muslim man physically twisted a massive bronze cross with his bare hands while committing major acts of vandalism in two churches.  He also overturned and broke two altars, destroyed Christian statues, tore down a tabernacle, smashed in a sacristy door, and broke some stained-glass windows.  Similarly, in 2015, Christian crosses and gravestones in a church cemetery were damaged and desecrated by a Muslim man.  After being apprehended, he was described as follows: “The man repeats Muslim prayers over and over, he drools and cannot be communicated with: his condition has been declared incompatible with preliminary detention.”  He was hospitalized as “mentally unbalanced.”

Be that as it may; the new report by Greece’s Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs makes one thing perfectly clear: Greece has become the latest exemplar of “Islam’s Rule of Numbers”—a rule which posits that, the more Muslims grow in numbers, the more phenomena intrinsic to Islam grows with them, in this case, the desecration of Christian churches.  In Nigeria alone, for example, Muslims have torched or destroyed some 20,000 churches over the last decade).

It will take 10 years to reconquer the Islamized areas of France

by Giulio Meotti

“How can we avoid secession? Because that’s what’s happening in France: secession ”. The former socialist president Francois Hollande had spoken this way shortly before leaving the Elysée. We translate “secession”: to refer to neighborhoods, districts and areas of entire cities where the law is no longer in force and the culture is no longer Western, but in which Sharia law dominates, banditry and public services do not operate for fear of attack.

How long would it take for France if it decided to reverse the trend?

“The Permanent Insécurité” (Editions du Cerf), released on February 24, is the book by Eric Delbecque, former director of the Institut national des hautes études de la sécurité and security manager of Charlie Hebdo. Speaking with the weekly L’Express, Delbecque explains that it would take France 10 years to regain control of the “lost territories”:

“You need a complete plan. And as I say it: the state has not even put itself in a position to regain control of these neighborhoods. These are political choices that will have to be made, without backing down. Because it can take up to ten years. If we don’t show extremely strong political will, we won’t be successful ”.

In Le Figaro, Delbecque explains that “there is a community dynamic that works to multiply these enclaves, the temporary or definitive ‘zones of autonomy’, a ‘leopard-print France’, where the laws will only have the strength to apply only to certain portions of the national territory “.

Another report, releaseג by Le Figaro, tells of French hospitals heavily infiltrated by Islamists and where doctors refuse to treat women and Jews.

They are areas where clerics dominate, those such as Saber Lahmar, who was detained for eight years in Guantánamo, returned to France in 2009, is now in prison in Paris and who will be tried for sending terrorists to Iraq or Syria. The story of Saber Lahmar is that of thirty years of jihadism. Born in 1969 in Algeria, he was in Bosnia between 1996 and 2001 with the Islamist fighters, is today imam of the Saint-André-de-Cubzac mosque.

But how many territories are we talking about?

Officially the DGSE, the general directorate of internal security, has mapped 150 French districts “in the possession” of the Islamists, as revealed by the weekly Journal du dimanche. In Le Figaro, the historian Georges Bensoussan, who edited the book “The Lost Territories of the Republic” ten years ago, explained that “more than 500 districts in France are declared ‘sensitive’. To put it bluntly, we are talking about several million people who are subject to Islamist law ”.

But according to the former number two of the DGSE, Alain Chouet, who has just published the book “Sept pas vers l’enfer”, in which he portrays a society deeply bound by Islamic fundamentalist violence, these areas number many more: “There are 1,514 neighborhoods where access to security forces, emergency services, medical and social services is prohibited. These districts are in 859 cities and 4 million people live there, or 6 percent of the total population of France ”.

In a month the French are called to presidential elections, already completely overshadowed by the war in Ukraine:Will it be the soumission, this sweet, seductive word from which Europe (France is only the forerunner of all Europe) does not seem capable of wriggling out of?

Alpaslan Kavaklıoğlu, deputy from Erdogan’s Party for Justice and Development and head of the Security and Intelligence Commission of the Turkish Parliament, meanwhile declared: “The Muslim population will surpass the Christian population in Europe in 20 years … I Muslims are the future of Europe ”.

We did not take Vladimir Putin seriously. We are not taking the Islamic Ummah seriously either. Europe, I fear, is doomed.
