Faroe Islands: Tested, isolated, boosted group infected with Omicron

A private meeting among the vaccinated mutated into a super-spreader event demonstrating how Covid vaccines do not protect against infection.

It is a small island state in the North Atlantic with around 50 000 inhabitants: the Faroe Islands. At the beginning of December, no Omicron infections were recorded there. That changed when 33 caregivers got together for a private meeting. All of them had been boosted.

“In the following days, many of the participants developed clear Covid symptoms,” reported Report24. Despite having had the triple vaccination, the participants fell ill: “In the end, there was a total of 21 infected people. That corresponds to an infection rate of 63,6 percent.” All had had a negative Covid test 36 hours before the meeting. None of the people affected had to be treated in the hospital, because all of them – as is typical for Omicron – only showed mild symptoms.

“This once again impressively confirmed that the continuous series of booster vaccinations currently hailed as the “best protection against Omicron” in Germany do not actually have any noticeable effect, Report24 pointed out.

Similar results were also presented in a recently published study that included the case of the Faroe Islands. The authors concluded that current Corona vaccines do not work against this variant. “A striking feature of this variant is the large number of spike mutations that pose a threat to the efficacy of current Covid-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) vaccines and antibody therapies. This concern is amplified by the findings from our study.”

So far we have seen everywhere that vaccinated people become infected with Omicron at a disproportionately high rate. Official data from the UK’s National Immunization Management System has shown for the first time that the unvaccinated were less often hospitalized with Omicron (25 percent) relative to their proportion of the population (30 percent).

In Norway and Denmark Omicron has spread among those who have been vaccinated several timesReport24 underscored. “In Denmark, even a vaccination quota of over 80 percent was not enough to save the country from becoming one of the European hotspots for the Omicron variant: In mid-December, 84 percent of those infected with the Omicron variant were jabbed twice, nine percent of them even vaccinated three times.”

In Germany, the Robert Koch Institute on page 14 in its current weekly report, revealed that 95,6 percent of those who had tested positive for the Omicron variant had been “fully vaccinated”. Some 27 percent had even had a booster shot. Only 186 of a total of 4 206 registered cases with known vaccination status were unvaccinated.

Many scientists see this variant as a possible end to the pandemic. Virologist Isabella Eckerle from Geneva University Hospital confirmed: “Omicron is so contagious that this virus could be our ticket to the endemic situation.” She said that immunity to Sars-CoV-2 would become “more and more resilient and broader” over time.

Katalin KarikĂł, co-inventor of the mRNA vaccine and Vice President of Biontech, agreed that Omicron could be a possible way out of the pandemic.

There’s no escape from Omicron

Polar researchers in remote Antarctica have meanwhile also fallen victim to Covid, despite taking strict health precautions, being fully vaccinated, and thousands of kilometres away from civilization.

Two thirds of the 25 staff based in Belgium’s Princess Elisabeth Polar Station have caught Covid, the Le Soir newspaper reported, proving there is no escape from the global pandemic.

The Omicron outbreak happened despite all staff passing multiple PCR tests, quarantining and living in one of the most remote places on earth. Before leaving for the station, they all underwent a PCR test in Belgium two hours before flying to South Africa.

In South Africa, they quarantined for 10 days and took another PCR test. A further test was needed when leaving Cape Town for Antarctica and a final one five days after that.

There are two emergency doctors at the polar station, which will not allow any new arrivals until the virus dissipates.

Coincidental or not, dropping criminal charges against Epstein’s prison guards sends a message to Ghislaine Maxwell the day after her conviction

By Thomas Lifson

Ghislaine Maxwell has been convicted of 5 of 6 criminal counts in her federal trial on charges arising from sex trafficking underage girls for Jeffrey Epstein and unidentified other figures, believed to include rich and powerful men. Shortly after the trial’s end and Maxwell’s return to the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, federal prosecutors on Thursday “asked a judge to dismiss claims against Tova Noel and Michael Thomas,” the two Bureau of Prisons guards who falsified records and slept on the job when Jeffrey Epstein allegedly committed suicide, “after both complied with the six-month deferred prosecution agreements they agreed to in May.”

So far as the public has been told, Ghislaine Maxwell has not offered any evidence against the other men who had illicit sex with the underage girls she procured for Epstein’s stable of sex slaves. If we are to believe that some of the rich, famous and powerful people known to have associated with Epstein in his various residences, including “Orgy Island” could be implicated by Maxwell in a plea bargain agreement to reduce her sentence, then she has every reason to fear for her safety in federal custody.

The message being sent by the light punishment for the prison guards whose negligence enabled Epstein’s death is pretty clear. If Maxwell were to “commit suicide” or “have an accident,” any guards implicated in negligence permitting such a death may face minimal consequences.

Oddly, none of the articles on the prison guards escaping serious punishment in the major media and press services that I examined specified the federal prosecutors agreeing to wrist slap. But since the federal trial took place in Manhattan, I have to assume they work for the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Cyrus Vance, Jr. a hereditary Democrat elite federal functionary.

I wish Ms. Maxwell a long life in federal custody. In my dreams, she would name names of those who participated in Epstein’s alleged orgies. I find the lack of interest by prosecutors and most media in identifying these presumed criminals to be quite telling.

Omicron and faulty tests severely disrupt trains in Italy

The website of Italy’s national rail operator posted warnings of severely disrupted services: “For the activities related to the organization of the services, changes in the timetable of the regional trains can be expected after controls provided by anti-Covid regulations,” noted Trenitalia and listed at least 16 regions affected by the serious problem.

Positive Corona test results have led Trenord to forcibly cancel journeys, so that large parts of the train traffic in Lombardy had to be rescheduled due to massive staff shortages. According to trade unions, staff shortages have become quite common regardless of Italy’s return to “normal” with the “green pass”.

Pandemic restrictions, which lead to a mad run on test centers in order to obtain “green passports”, have become an own goal for the government, according to Gospa News. They have given employees who would like to stay at home during the holidays the opportunity propose contact with an Omicron “infected person”, “infect” themselves and thus to go into quarantine.

As Gospa News reported, about 67 percent of new positive “cases” in Piedmont are asymptomatic. Moreover, rapid antigen Covid-19 tests do not accurately detect the Omicron variant.

In the meantime, the government appears to be blind an deaf to these facts: A new decree of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers will impose new restrictions on the unvaccinated. The unvaccinated are not the problem, however, especially because various studies have highlighted that the vaccinated often have a viral load which could be 251 times higher than that of an infected person without the jab.

The government’s new guidelines, which are currently being transposed into formal legislation, include lifting of the quarantine for vaccinated persons who have been vaccinated for less than four months and for vaccinated persons with a “booster dose”.

They also plan the expansion of the Super Green Pass (2G) to almost all public spaces: Public transport, hotels, trade fairs, ski areas and many other leisure facilities while sport stadiums may not be occupied by more than 50 percent.
