Saint-Pierre-le-Vieux Church in Strasbourg: Statue of the Virgin Mary vandalised for the second time

It was probably in the early morning of this Saturday that the crime occurred: the statue of the Virgin Mary in the church of Saint-Pierre-le-Vieux was found destroyed, presumably by vandalism. A complaint will be filed.DNA

France: Man shouts “Allah Akbar” in the street and injures three police officers

A driver injured three police officers when he was stopped in Valenciennes (northern France) on Sunday afternoon. The police were called because he was shouting “Allah Akbar” among other things in the street.

It was an aggressive and violent man who was arrested by the Valenciennes police at around 4.45 pm. Earlier, several people had dialled the ” emergency number 17 ” to make an alert: A man driving a car shouted ” Allah Akbar ” and ” Allah is here, you will die ” at the height of the Quai des Mines, according to a source familiar with the investigation.

The police quickly spotted the driver. He first stopped and then got out of his vehicle. Enraged, he attacked the police officers with the car keys and punched them in the face. Finally he was overpowered and arrested. The 36-year-old offender, who was already known to the police, was taken into police custody. He was brought in for an investigation into his behaviour. Germany: Vaccination supporters’ protest attracted only 3 participants and one cat

Demmin’s most famous cat wanted to take it up a notch at the weekend and protest for vaccination. But the number of participants fell far short of expectations.

With the ongoing Corona pandemic and related measures, people keep flocking to the streets. Mostly to protest against the prevailing rules or compulsory vaccination. But there are also protesters who want to stand up for vaccination. On Saturday, for example, a sign was to be set on the market square in Demmin. However, the supposedly famous organiser could not mobilise the Hanseatic citizens.

Just three citizens gathered at the scheduled time of 2 pm. Among them was Torsten Lohr, who had registered the rally in the name of his cat Quarky Mautz. “I want to use his name recognition,” Lohr explained his plans in advance.
He would expect 35 to 70 people – with the hope of more. The idea would be to create a counterpoint to the demonstrations of the critics of the measures – if possible reaching far beyond the borders of Demmin.

In fact, the cat had made it to appearances in national media last year and achieved a certain fame. The reason: Lohr wanted the animal to run as a candidate for mayor. Afterwards, however, it became quiet again about Quarky and his owner. Apparently, it was too quiet for the unofficial mascot of former times to generate any more interest in a manifestation.

Islamic scholar Olivier Carré draws a parallel between the jihad propagated by Sayyid Qutb and the plea of the monk Bernard of Clairvaux

You draw a parallel between the jihad propagated by Sayyid Qutb and the call of the monk Bernard of Clairvaux (1090-1153) to “die for Christ”, referring to the “same common heritage, Christian and Muslim, with which we are all burdened”, which some would call bold. What do you mean by that?

Some experts have pointed out that Bernard of Clairvaux, who actively supported the Templars, was directly inspired in his sermon by verses from the Koran that mentioned jihad to support the Second Crusade. So my concern is to remind people that there is a warlike Christianity and that it could be supported by people who, like Bernard of Clairvaux, are considered very spiritual and peaceful.
I therefore see convergences with Qutb’s Jihad insofar as it is about experiences that are both mystical and physical. Hence the affinity with the title of the first two issues of my Qutb reading, Mysticism and Politics: this mysticism is both central and oblique in any religion, Christian or Muslim. So there is no civilisation that can claim to embody peace or tolerance.

What is this “promising post-Islamism” that you refer to at the end of your “Koran of the Islamists”?

I am a follower of Olivier Roy, who observed an emerging post-Islamism in some Muslim countries as early as the 1990s [after his book L’Echec de l’islam politique (1992), in which he diagnosed the dead end of Islamist parties, Olivier Roy used the term “post-Islamism” to define the emergence of a political Islam in the last three decades, reduced to a reference to identity, and fitting into a state functioning according to secular principles].

Like him, I thought that this new trend could shape a certain democracy by making it possible to live together between antagonistic ideologies. In contrast to the fundamentalist vision – as prevalent in Saudi Arabia or Iran – this post-Islamism desacralises certain aspects of life, especially collective life, and makes possible a revival of the distinction between politics and religion. This Muslim democracy can be seen in Morocco today or in its beginnings in Turkey under Recep Tayyip Erdogan [the current Turkish president was prime minister from 2003 to 2014], before his regime slipped into authoritarianism.

So it is not a question of being in favour of or opposed to the Muslim Brotherhood, but of taking note of the fact that moderate Islamism is popular in many of these countries and needs to be dealt with. The physical elimination as currently practiced in Egypt only repeats what happened with Sayyid Qutb: to make martyrs of these activists.Le Monde

Spain: Since 2015, the number of forced marriages has increased by 60%; 14% of these involve girls under 15 years of age

Hannan Serroukh’s stepfather wanted to marry her off shortly before her 15th birthday. The now 47-year-old woman is a member of the Politeia Foundation and has been fighting for over 30 years to prevent the same fate from happening to other girls in Spain. The number of forced marriages in our country has increased by 60% since 2015.

Hannan Serroukh was born in Barcelona to Moroccan parents who emigrated to Spain in the late 1960s. Her life, integrated into Spanish society, was happy until the death of her father. Then began a nightmare whose consequences continue to this day.

Her mother remarried another Moroccan who, according to Hannah, used her mother to come to Spain. As a follower of the fundamentalist Muslim Brotherhood organisation, his goal was not to work, as his parents had done, but to open a mosque in Figueras.

With their arrival, Hannan and her mother’s lives changed radically: music was forbidden in their house, they had to wear the hijab and no longer communicate with their Spanish friends. In his opinion, the girl was “heavily contaminated by the West”, Hannanan recounts, “and that’s why he felt I should marry a man from his faith”.

She responded quickly: “He had made allusions to my past life and that made me flee. She travelled to Girona, where she was picked up by a train driver who took her to the police, whereupon she was taken to a youth protection centre.

By escaping, Hannan was able to avoid becoming a victim of forced marriage. This practice has increased by 60% in Spain since 2015 and takes place every two seconds worldwide, according to the international organisation Plan. 14% of these forced marriages involve girls under the age of 15, and only one in three girls has reached the age of 18.

Be that as it may, and according to Hannan Serroukh, the statistics in our country are disturbing, as only a few girls report this forced marriage. However, in Catalonia, the number of complaints has doubled since 2017 until today.

According to her, it is the imams in the mosques who bless these marriages, which are often only registered in the country of origin of the girls’ parents until they are 18 and then registered here. “There have been cases of couples appearing in public as uncle and niece, even though they are entering into a marriage recognised by the imam,” says Hannan.

According to her, the regions in Spain most affected by this practice are Catalonia, Valencia, parts of the Basque Country, Fuenlabrada in Madrid and Algeciras in Andalusia.

How should a daughter behave who is forced by her own family to marry a man she does not even know? Serroukh says she has to face “an arduous but rewarding journey”. She has to approach the security forces in the best possible way, tell them her situation and they will take care of her as she is protected by our state institutions”.

“Everyone is the master of his/her own life and the shaper of his/her own future,” concluded Hannan, who was able to escape a forced marriage but had to pay a high price: she has not met her mother and siblings since. El Mundo

Rumours persist that Brigitte Macron is a man

Where is Jean-Michel Trogneux? Photo: Twitter

According to a researcher, Brigitte Macron was born as Jean-Michel Trogneux, a man. But president Macron’s wife said she was being targeted by a transphobic rumor and she would file a complaint.

The source of this information on Brigitte Macron’s past life was in articles published in September in the journal Faits et Documents citing extensive evidence of a massive cover-up about a trans figure in the Elysee.

France’s the first lady dismissed it as a conspiracy theory.

On French social networks the hashtag #JeanMichelTrogneux has been trending for several weeks now. On November 7, the Twitter account “Le journal de la macronie”, launched the quest for finding Brigitte’s “lost brother” who has disappeared without a trace.

The hashtag has generated close to 80 000 mentions, in particular on “anti-tax and far-right accounts”, noted the Visibrain site. A Russian television station has demanded an investigation into the rumours.

The journalist Natacha Rey, who is the author, said she had firm evidence that the first lady was born Jean Michel Trogneux, a transgender male. Rey has been researching the shady past of Brigitte and the curious disappearance of her alleged “brother”.

Jean Michel Trogneux was last spotted in the company of the highly controversial Joseph Doucé (since found murdered) in the late eighties of the previous century, around the time when Brigitte appeared, said Rey. The pastor was the first advocate of gay marriages and trans surgery and head of a pedophile ring. Many suspect that Doucé had played a role similar to that of Jeffrey Epstein: Blackmailing those in power.

The magazine Closer has attempted a denial. It accused the magazine which publishes French political news of “regularly relaying conspiracy theories”. But the Wikipedia entry for Faits & Documents describes it as a newspaper which is taken seriously.

The “fact-checking” Closer however blatantly lied that Emmanuel Macron was 17 years old when he met Brigitte. The current President was 14 years old, which could constitute a crime with at least two aggravating circumstances. Macron was born in 1977 and Brigitte in 1953 according to official records.

In 2018, for the first time in the history of the Élysée, Emmanuel Macron opened the presidential palace to transvestites for the Fête de la Musique. The presidential pair posed with the cringeworthy “artists” which led to harsh criticism from conservatives.

An Italian psychiatrist Professor Adriano Segatori said he believed that Macron was raped by pederasts as a child.

Similar rumours were circulation about Michelle Obama, former US President Barack Obama’s wife.
