Water cannon and pepper spray deployed against peaceful German protesters but 400 guests at the funeral of an Arab clan head despite tightened Corona regulations

At a funeral in Bremen, contact restrictions and hygiene rules were ignored. Water cannons or pepper spray were not used by the police despite the violations.

In Bremen, the police nevertheless attended two funeral ceremonies held for one person within three days. The person in question was a head of the family from Lebanon. Around 400 guests gathered at a Bremen cemetery to celebrate his funeral. However, funerals are currently only permitted with a few guests. Although the participants made every effort to keep their distance, as the police reported, and although disinfectants were available and many wore face masks, various violations of contact restrictions and hygiene rules still took place. Moreover, many of the mourners had come from different cities or even from abroad.

Unlike in Berlin or Hildburghausen in Thuringia, where the police deployed water cannons and pepper spray against peaceful demonstrations against the Corona Lockdown, however, the officers acted with leniency and left water cannons and pepper spray unused for once – although these have recently become very popular against Corona rule violators. Instead, they preferred dialogue and asked the person in charge – a cousin of the deceased – to influence the mourners’ community to prevent infection. They probably showed understanding and gradually left the funeral. Some of the mourners had already become notorious. A few days before the funeral of the head of the family clan, there was already an unauthorised funeral service, at which up to 50 people had gathered in a backyard in tents set up especially for the occasion. The party was discovered when residents called the police because of numerous traffic jams and parking violations. The police then spotted the large crowd in the courtyard, which was said to have hardly complied with hygiene rules and contact restrictions. In contrast to the funeral, however, the guests may have shown little understanding, which is why 33 complaints for violation of the Corona rules were issued. In mid-November, the police in Bremen had already had to ban a funeral service with 80 participants in a mosque, which also led to a serious dispute between members of an extended family.

“You stupid German” – Three Muslim migrants beat a tram passenger to a pulp

The friends Munthar A. (32 years old), Bassem B. (25 years old) and Ali Z. (36 years old) beat up a man from Dresden (43 years old). They were given suspended sentences at Dresden local court.Since August the two Tunisians and the Iraqi have been in custody. According to the prosecution they had shortly before been looking for a victim in the tram line 2. At about 09.30 pm they all travelled in the direction of the Dresden district of Gorbitz.

The perpetrators mobbed the victim, tried to provoke with sentences like “You stupid German”. At the Karcherallee stop, the Dresdener got off in a frightened manner, although he actually wanted to drive on.

The three men followed the drunk man (over three per thousand) and beat him. Witnesses called the police, who searched for the perpetrators while the victim was in hospital. According to the prosecution, Munthar, Bassem and Ali even stole two mobile phones.

However, it was difficult to prove this because the devices were not found among the arrested persons later on. One was later found in the Great Garden Park.

What remained, however, was the punishable bodily injury, which was admitted by the accused. The judge sentenced all three of them to twelve months in prison. The sentence was suspended on probation.

Austria: Asylum seekers made a video of an alleged execution the day after the bloody Islamist terrorist attack in Vienna

Six young Afghan asylum seekers made a video showing an alleged execution in the park of Pottendorf Castle (Baden district) the day after the attack in Vienna. Mayor Thomas Sabbata-Valteiner ( Social Democratic Party of Austria) witnessed the shooting on November 3 and filed charges, the daily newspaper “Heute” reported on Thursday. According to the police, no weapons were used in the ” recreated scene”. The video had been seized, the executive stated upon request. The State Office for the Protection of the Constitution and Counter-Terrorism (LVT) is currently investigating the content. The motives and backgrounds of the youths aged between 14 and 17 are still unclear, the recording still has to be translated. Only then could it be determined whether a criminal offence had been committed.According to “Heute”, the teenagers declared that such clips were “completely normal” in their culture and that it was a joke. Norbert Hofer, chairman of the Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ), detected a ridiculing of the victims of the attack in Vienna and demanded that the people involved as well as their parents be deported: “This culture that the teenagers are referring to has no place in our country. Anyone who considers such things funny and “shares such scenarios on video in social networks has no place in our society”.”Today’s fake execution is tomorrow’s terrorist attack”, said Gottfried Waldhäusl, member of Lower Austria’s FPÖ state parliament, about the recording. The man from the Waldviertel also demanded “immediate deportations” and also put his finger on the asylum accommodation in Drasenhofen (Mistelbach district), where he had caused a great stir almost exactly two years ago. The accommodation “scandalised by do-gooders without common sense” was ” meant for just such cases of young asylum seekers”.At the end of November 2018, there was a commotion over Waldhäusl after he had young refugees placed behind barbed wire in an asylum quarter in Drasenhofen because he accused them of being “notorious troublemakers”.
