After a dermatologist in Nizhnevartovsk, Russia, examined a Muslim woman, her husband stormed the practice. “I see you’re into looking at women’s bellies,” he said, immediately attacking. The doctor then fell from his chair and suffered a head injury and concussion.
The background to this incident is that a woman wearing a headscarf came to the practice of dermatologist Vladimir Shernokleev on Tuesday and needed a medical consultation. At first she did not want to be examined by a man. The doctor offered her to have the examination done by a woman. Finally, the Muslim woman agreed and Zernokleev examined part of her abdomen. Afterwards, the woman left his practice. A little later, the patient’s husband appeared.
The surveillance camera recorded his attack on the dermatologist. Shernokleev said he had examined many women in his practice, especially Muslim women, but he had never experienced such a situation. The husband has since been arrested.
