The Israeli government already classified six Arab NGOs as terrorist last October because of links to the “Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine” (PFLP). The PFLP is also considered a terrorist organisation by the USA and the EU, even Palestinian officials in the West Bank (Fatah) want to stay away from it.
Germany nevertheless continued to fund these NGOs with vast sums of taxpayers’ money. Jürgen Braun, human rights spokesperson for the AfD parliamentary group, wanted to know from Baerbock during the government’s questioning on Wednesday whether she did not want to stop the funding. At first, the minister denied that the NGOs in question had any links to terrorist organisations.
Braun did not let up and gave an example: in August 2019, the Arab Samer Arbid killed the 17-year-old Jewish girl Rina. In the course of the investigation, it turned out that Arbid was on the payroll of “Addameer”, one of the NGOs now classified as terrorist. This NGO received and continues to receive funds from the Green-affiliated Heinrich Böll Foundation, and thus indirectly from the German Foreign Ministry.
But even after this evidence was presented, Baerbock did not want to say anything more and only repeated her blatant lie that Germany does not support terrorists.
Is this the new style of feminist foreign policy? Do you have to stop answering questions from “old white men”? This minister is a disgrace both for German foreign policy and for Germany’s supposedly so good relationship with the Jewish people.
