Germany: Syrian tries to stab sister because she exchanged voice messages with a strange man on her cell phone

Police officers in Kamen ( North Rhine-Westphalia) apparently prevented a murder at the last moment: A young Syrian man (18) allegedly tried to stab his sister (21) in the street!

The accused was armed with a “corer” – an Arabic kitchen tool used to remove the insides of courgettes.

Abdullah A. is said to have been annoyed that the mother of two children exchanged voice messages with a strange man. Public prosecutor Felix Giesenregen (36) confirms: “We have applied for an arrest warrant for attempted murder. The accused is now in custody.”

The quarrel already began on August 21 in the sister’s flat. There, the young man was frying French fries when his sister spoke into her smartphone in the next room.

According to information from the newspaper BILD, he confronted her about it, hit her in the face with the flat of his hand – and forgot about his food! Flames burst out of the pot and the fire brigade arrived. Abdullah A. ended up in hospital: suspected smoke poisoning.

The next day, the slender, small Syrian (about 1.60 metres) allegedly returned to the flat. According to initial investigations, he told his father there in the evening about what he considered to be immoral male contact – after all, his sister (who wears a headscarf) was married in their home country Syria.

The father, who has six children, apparently did not find the male contact that bad. According to police records, Abdullah went berserk and hit his sister twice in the face with his fist! A sister alerted the police emergency number 110, the victim fled from the flat shortly afterwards, followed by her angry brother.

She jumped into a taxi. A younger brother tried to stop Abdullah A., who was about to attack his sister with the corer – but by then a police car had already stopped. With their weapons at the ready, the officers forced Abdullah A. to give up.

According to BILD information, the suspect revealed his confused image of women to the magistrate. He did not show any remorse afterwards: Instead, he is said to have announced that he would kill his sister when he next encountered her.
