Germany: Jew beaten up and subjected to anti-Semitic insults by “Mediterranean-looking” man at vigil for Israel

Police are searching for an as yet unknown man who shouted anti-Semitic insults and assaulted and injured a 60-year-old participant in a gathering in Hamburg on Saturday afternoon with the motto “Vigil for Israel – Against Anti-Semitism”. The State Security Service of the State Criminal Police Office (LKA 7) took over the investigation.

According to the findings so far, the so far unknown perpetrator uttered anti-Semitic insults to the participants of the meeting from a group of three to four persons.

When some of the participants approached the man and asked him to stop, he approached a 60-year-old participant and hit him in the face with his fist, causing a laceration.

Afterwards, the perpetrator and his companions took off with what appeared to be rented electric scooters in the direction of Steintorbrücke.

An immediate search with several patrol cars did not lead to his apprehension.

The attacker can be described as follows:

  • Male – 18 – 25 years – 170 – 175 cm – “Mediterranean”.
    Appearance – black, curly hair (short on the sides) – white
    T-shirt – black jacket – blue jeans – black sneakers

The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment of his injuries.

The State Security Service has taken over the investigation. At the moment, photos and video footage of the incident and of the perpetrator are being analysed.

  1. Actually, I think you should be generalizing, playing it safe and calling it an Asian Man. The perpetrator must have been mentally ill, yes? Assaulting an elderly man on a public street… well hey that young fellow has suffered too. Probably jobless and OH the Weight of the abstract political demons he battles in his mind, Every Day, have you no sympathy sirrah? Also, any examination of the potentially motivating philosophy behind these sorts of things is… not allowed. “Why not?” – arrest that man!
