A 27-year-old man is suspected of touching the private parts of a 13-year-old girl in the Bamberg outdoor pool on Sunday afternoon ( June 26). After a tip-off to the police, the suspect was arrested. He is now in custody at the request of the public prosecutor’s office in Bamberg.
According to the police on Monday ( June 27), the 27-year-old allegedly grabbed the 13-year-old girl from behind and touched her crotch above her bikini bottoms at around 3 p.m. in the Bamberg outdoor pool. The mother of one of the girl’s friends then informed the pool attendant, who in turn informed the police. The officers then arrested the 27-year-old.
The Bamberg Criminal Investigation Department and the Bamberg Public Prosecutor’s Office then took over the investigation. The arrested man was brought before an investigating judge on Monday afternoon. At the request of the public prosecutor’s office in Bamberg, the judge issued a remand warrant for the urgent arrest of the suspect. The Iranian is now in a correctional institution.
