At around 8 am on Friday morning, a seven-year-old girl and a 61-year-old educator were attacked at the entrance of the school Katharinenschule in Esslingen in the state of Baden-Württemberg by a “dark-skinned man” – as the police state – with a knife. The two were allegedly attacked while unlocking the school for holiday care. The perpetrator stabbed them and then fled, they say. Both victims were taken to hospital.
In the meantime, a knife has been found that could be the murder weapon, according to a police spokesperson. For “investigative reasons”, no information is given about the location where the weapon was found. A large police force is looking for a suspect, who is described as 30 to 35 years old, dark-skinned, about 175 centimetres tall, slim, with a slight beard on his chin. A helicopter was also deployed. Nothing is known about the motive so far. What is clear, however, is that just a few years ago one would never have imagined that such crimes would soon become part of our everyday life.
