Germany: Asylum seeker slits throat of mother of 6 in the street – she died at the crime scene

Horrible bloody deed in the Pankow district of Berlin! A woman was stabbed and fatally injured there on Friday morning. Shortly afterwards, a suspect was arrested. According to the newspaper BILD, he was the woman’s ex.

Police and rescue services were called to the corner of the streets Maximilianstraße and Mühlenstraße shortly before 10 am because of a seriously injured woman.

A woman had been stabbed on the pavement there. The police cordoned off a wide area of Maximilianstraße.

According to information from BILD, the man is said to have ambushed the woman. He then allegedly stabbed her in the stomach with a very large knife and then slit her throat. The victim died of life-threatening injuries at the scene.

After the crime, the perpetrator is said to have fled on a bicycle. The search by investigators was running with great urgency – apparently with success! A few hours after the bloody crime, a suspect was arrested. According to the police, he returned to the scene of the crime.

The man (42) is said to be the former partner of the woman (31). They are said to have six children together.

Nothing is known about the background of the crime. A homicide squad is taking over the investigation.

The woman reportedly lived in a refugee home in the neighbourhood in Mühlenstraße. Perpetrator and victim were of non-German origin.
