The horror of the fatal knife attack of a Somali refugee in Ludwigshafen Oggersheim a few days ago is still omnipresent. Painter Jonas S. (20) was stabbed in the neck, then the perpetrator cut off his forearm and threw it onto a balcony. The second victim Sascha K. (35) wanted to come to the aid of his colleague. The killer rammed the knife several times into his chest, allegedly shouting the Islamist battle cry “Allahu Akbar”.
Today, only a few kilometres away from Ludwigshafen, another knife attack in Speyer with two seriously injured.
In a joint press release, the public prosecutor’s office and the police speak of an intent to kill.
On Friday noon ( October 21, 2022), at about 12:15 p.m., a 27-year-old Afghan attacked his 16-year-old girlfriend and her 36-year-old mother with a knife in an apartment building in Wormser Landstraße, according to the current state of investigation. The perpetrator fled the scene and was arrested by police during the immediate search. Both women were seriously injured and had to be taken to hospital by the ambulance service. The public prosecutor’s office in Frankenthal and the criminal investigation department in Ludwigshafen have started investigations.
Meanwhile, criticism is raised against Interior Minister Nancy Faeser ( Social Democratic Party), who has so far not commented on the incident in Ludwigshafen. Former BILD editor-in-chief Julian Reichert tweeted: “Day three after the Islamist bloodbath in Ludwigshafen. A #Somali slaughters two people. And still no comment from Interior Minister Faeser. Instead, she calls for MORE migration immediately after the crime.”
