At around 6.20 am, a young woman (19) was brutally attacked in Kandinskyallee at the Mümmelmannsberg bus stop in the Hamburg district of Billstedt.
According to initial investigations, the 19-year-old was about to board a bus when she was stabbed at least once.
An eyewitness reported: “He rammed the knife directly into her head.”
Rescuers took her to hospital with serious injuries. Danger to life!
Officers immediately launched a large-scale manhunt. They quickly tracked down a 29-year-old Afghan. During the search of his flat in the Tonndorf district of Hamburg, the police seized evidence. Around 11.15 a.m., police arrested him at a vocational school in Hamburg-Ottensen. The young man is to be brought before a magistrate on Friday.
The motive for the bloody deed is still completely unclear. According to the newspaper BILD, there are many indications that the victim and the perpetrator knew each other.
