A man who has not yet been caught had to stand trial in Quimper court on Thursday March 17 for allegedly sexually assaulting a schoolgirl in Quimperlé. The case was adjourned indefinitely.
It was a somewhat unusual court hearing. Neither victim nor joint plaintiff on this Thursday, March 17, 2022, were present in the criminal court of Quimper. Nor was the accused present. And for good reason. The man, who is about 30 years old and of foreign origin, cannot be found. His phone was switched off a few days after the crime. Moreover, doubts remain about his true identity. An arrest warrant was issued for him in December 2019.

He lays her on the bed, undresses her and forces her into sexual relations despite the girl’s refusal. The victim had never had sexual intercourse before. Frozen with fear, she does not dare to resist. Then the man took pictures of the naked girl before giving her money “to have her kept silent”.

She also has no post-traumatic symptoms corresponding to the facts described. The first charge of rape is being reclassified as a sexual assault.
