The afternoon had started well. On Thursday June 3, reports L’Union, a 27-year-old woman from Châlonnaise went to the Grand Jard park to enjoy the good weather. Lying on a towel, she was approached by three unknown men. One of them then tried to kiss her forcibly before touching her – again without her consent. Hilariously, her two companions let it happen. Fortunately for the young woman, she then manages to call the police, putting an end to her nightmarish end to the afternoon.
The quick arrival of a national police patrol made the attacker and his accomplices flee. After a chase, the officers managed to arrest two of the three men. Among them was the man responsible for the sexual assault on the young woman from Châlons. According to the newspaper l’Union, the two people initially presented false papers to the police. They were eventually identified as Moroccan minors born in 2004. Their detention, which was imposed on Thursday evening, was extended on Friday until an interpreter was called in – the two arrested young people do not speak French.
