Indecipherable symbols and a “Q” were sprayed on the front and back of the statue. The eyes were also painted red, a kind of morbid make-up.
This statue dating from 1869 is located on the roof of the marine aquarium and has been painted red. The “Heavenly Father” was formerly named “Statue of the Good Saviour” and helped seafarers and tourists to focus their contemplation on God.
