Austria: Afghan with previous convictions back in court for sexual abuse of girls – The youngest victim of the asylum seeker is only 12 years old

Apparently not able to be integrated into society: An asylum seeker who was convicted of sexual offences only last year will be tried again today in Salzburg. This time, the Afghan (22) faces ten years in prison for aggravated sexual abuse of girls.

It is hard to believe: Today, an Afghan man, who was still on probation, is standing trial in the Salzburg Regional Court for aggravated sexual abuse of minors, dangerous threats, damage to property and other offences.

Only last year, the asylum seeker was held responsible for sexual harassment, coercion, bodily harm and resistance against state authority. The lenient sentence: six months imprisonment – suspended.

This time it is about three girls aged 12 and 13. The Afghan is said to have not only groped them indecently. He asked the youngest to have sexual intercourse and grabbed her breast. Up to ten years’ imprisonment are imposed for the aggravated sexual abuse.

According to the authorities, a possible deportation of the serial offender was out of the question after the first verdict. Reason: too dangerous due to the Taliban taking power in Afghanistan.

The number of sexual assaults by young asylum seekers does not seem to stop. Only on Sunday, a worried mother in Vienna contacted the police. In tears, her 13-year-old daughter told them how she had allegedly been raped by a Syrian (16) in the district of Leopoldstadt.

The announcement of a rape trial against six Afghans in Feldkirch also caused a stir. The clique allegedly abused a girl in asylum accommodation in February. In the run-up to the trial, there was heavy criticism because the police only confirmed the incident months later – after eXXpress had exclusively uncovered the scandal.
