Currently, the Vienna police is cracking down on criminal groups of foreigners and they now want to take revenge with an escalation of violence, according to text messages that are available to the security authorities. The trigger is probably the arrest of violent youths at Maria-Restituta-Platz square last Saturday, in the course of which three officers were injured. As the newspaper “Krone” now reports, calls are now circulating for a mass brawl planned for Saturday at Praterstern.
Among other things, one participant circulated a photo of a pair of brass knuckles adding the words “Prepare a bit for Saturday. Like New Year’s Eve.” The police will be present with a large contingent.
