The amount of harmless CO2 generated by any given purchase or activity will be determined by bureaucrats on an arbitrary basis.

In case you doubted that global warming is an ideology created by and for the well-to-do ruling class:

In a carbon credit style scheme, those who emit over the three-tonne limit by the middle of the century would need to privately purchase credits from those who are under the limit, he suggested: “Every person gets three tons of CO2 per year, but if you need more, you just have to buy it.”

No problem — so long as you have the money.

Its purpose is to pull up the ladder the elite have climbed, so that their position atop society is secure. In the end, their absolute power will ensure that we pick up the tab. To see how it works, look to the lavish lifestyle enjoyed by socialist dictators and their cronies in starving hellholes like they have made of formerly wealthy Venezuela.

In Uttarakhand’s Jwalapur,  thousands of Muslims have been duped by a private “bank” that promised to keep their money safe. A Muslim Fund operator in Jwalapur has reportedly run away along with crores of rupees that were deposited by thousands of Muslims in the ‘Muslim Fund’. 

Upon receiving information about this, several people reached Jawalapur police station to lodge a complaint against the Muslim Fund operator who has been identified as Abdul Razzaq. Subsequently, police initiated a search to nab the absconding accused. 

According to the police, the accused was running an interest-free transaction office in Jwalapur in the name of the Muslim Imdadi Fund for the last 10 years. Thousands of people, including those in Jwalapur and the surrounding areas, have opened accounts with him and daily contribute a portion of their income to the fund. The amount was withdrawn as and when needed.

As per an ETV Bharat report, accused Abdul Razzaq had opened an office near Jwalapur by the name Kabir Mutual Benefit Nidhi Limited. Around 22,000 Muslim residents of Jwalapur and nearby villages had deposited their hard-earned money with the Muslim Imdadi Fund. The amount deposited by people in the ‘fund’ ranges from 10 to 50,000 rupees.

According to reports, the office was closed for the past few days. Even the fund’s employees, who used to visit neighborhoods in the area did not show up for a while. The rumor that the Muslim fund operator fled had spread by Sunday morning, prompting depositors to inform the police. 

It is pertinent to note that according to Sharia, earning Riba or interest charged on loans and deposits is Haram (prohibited). Such private funds offer Muslims a facility where interest is neither charged nor extended. 

Notably, a similar case was reported in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor in April last year, wherein Bijnor Police arrested a person identified as Mohammed Faizi. He had absconded after duping customers of the Muslim faith of crores of rupees in the name of a ‘Sharia-compliant Muslim Fund’ named Al-Faizan Muslim Trust.

Hundreds of serious criminals including a convicted murderer, a serial paedophile, and an Islamic State jihadist have been found among the boat migrants landing in Britain unopposed by the tens of thousands, according to a report.

The Sun, the United Kingdom’s highest-circulation non-freesheet newspaper, according to Audit Bureau of Circulations figures going up to 2020, claims to have received a dossier of evidence on almost 1,000 migrants from a whistleblower at a “government security agency that oversees threats to national security”.

Senior advisers at the Home Office — the government department with broad responsibility for policing, border control, and national security, currently led by Suella Braverman MP — have reportedly been shown the dossier, and seemingly did not dispute its veracity, with The Sun saying they “acknowledged the danger posed by criminals who arrived here illegally”.

The tabloid highlighted a few of the criminals, said to include gangsters, drug dealers, and fraudsters, in particular, selecting a convicted murderer from Albania, a serial paedophile from Iraq, and an Islamic State terrorist from Iran as standout cases.

The Albanian, convicted of murdering his wife in his homeland, a Muslim-majority country in the Balkans, had his asylum claim rejected after his record was uncovered — but he had already been “released into the community” and the authorities lost track of him for months.

He was not detained after he was found, either, with The Sun reporting that he is “living in a taxpayer-funded house” and being given taxpayers’ money to appeal his claim’s rejection, on grounds that he would be in danger from his victim’s family back home, while helping to run a car wash where he allegedly “employs illegal immigrant Romanians” — despite not having the right to work.

The newspaper claims he “boasted of his criminal past” when they approached him, and that he said he came to Britain “for a new life” and “live[s] in Northampton and have a girlfriend with a child.”

The Iraqi paedophile, meanwhile, is said to have targeted children while in Britain, and the Iranian ISIS fighter has been arrested for carrying a weapon in Sadiq Khan’s London.

The Sun suggests few of the criminals will ever be deported because of claims their human rights would be violated in their home countries or that they require treatment for mental or physical health issues from the taxpayer-funded National Health Service (NHS) that they would find difficult or impossible to get at home.

Amazingly, such thin excuses often prove enough for a British judge to block deportation, with an infamous 2020 case seeing the courts grant asylum to a Taliban fighter who had already had six taxpayer-funded appeals against his removal rejected on grounds that he was suffering from PTSD — possibly acquired, if real, while aiding the Islamist movement’s war against British and Allied forces — that Afghanistan could not treat as well as the NHS.

“If people knew the truth about these people, it would provoke national outrage — and it should,” The Sun’s whistleblower said of the migrants in the dossier.

“Hundreds of serious criminals are living all over the country, with many continuing to commit crimes, work illegally and claim benefits. And once they get to this country it is almost impossible to get rid of them,” they added.

“This is mainly due to various legal barriers, including lengthy appeals, human rights issues and a large backlog of cases.”

The whistleblower warned that the already thinly-stretched security resources simply “don’t have the resources to monitor everyone properly” — alleging that “[s]enior Civil Service incompetence and political correctness also play a role” in the issue.

“The only real way to solve this crisis is to stop them arriving in the first place,” they concluded.

The perennially incompetent Home Office told The Sun that Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Home Secretary Braverman “have outlined plans to legislate once and for all to stem the flow of migrants crossing the Channel and ensure our borders are properly protected.”

However, the reality is that the Conservative (Tory) Party have been in power since 2010, and have had a substantial parliamentary majority since the 2019 general election, but deportations have continued to fall and boat migrant landings have continued to increase, year-on-year, with no signs of improvement.

Swedish authorities have redeployed 100 police officers from across the country to Stockholm to help secure the capital city, which has been rocked by multiple shootings and bombings in the latest crime wave.

Bombings across Stockholm are already well into the double digits for the year, while shootings continue to be recorded at an alarming rate, picking up where the record year of 2022 for fatal shootings across the country left off.

The crime wave has been linked to the ongoing conflict between criminal gangs fighting to control the trade of illicit activity in the city.

“With the recent development of shootings and explosions, we see a need to send additional reinforcements to Stockholm to prevent more murders from occurring in the ongoing conflicts and to increase surveillance in several locations,” said Johan Olsson, head of the police’s national operational department (NOA), in a press release.

Officers will be sent from all Swedish regions and be stationed in the capital for at least the next fortnight. Olsson confirmed the reinforcements will be on the ground “within the next few days.”

“It is a very welcome addition,” said Mattias Andersson, acting regional police chief in Stockholm. “We are doing everything we can to break the serious spiral of violence that the region is in now and need additional resources.”

The extra resources are on top of the 190 police officers already redeployed to the area from across the country, according to Swedish broadcaster SVT.

The call for police backup follows a number of explosions recorded last week, including one on Wednesday outside an office building in the Kista district of Stockholm and the bombing of a restaurant in the Södermalm island districton Tuesday.

Another shooting was reported on Saturday afternoon in the southern Stockholm borough of Enskede. Following a large police operation, three people were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and aggravated weapons offenses.

The suspects include a young man and two minors, according to police spokesperson Helena Boström Thomas.

Stockholm residents have expressed concern for their own safety following the spate of violence in the city. Two women who live in a residential area targeted by a bomb that exploded during the holiday season last year told SVT they no longer feel safe in their own homes.

“It doesn’t feel very nice. It feels unsafe,” a 10-year-old girl known as Liv told the broadcaster.

After the start of the war in Ukraine, a huge number of Western companies announced plans to exit Russia. But despite talk of a “vast exodus”, many Western firms are still operating in Russia, Swiss researchers found.

A large number of companies headquartered in the European Union and G7 nations have not yet left Russia, according to research from Switzerland’s University of St. Gallen and International Institute for Management Development.

The study by Simon Evenett and Niccolò Pisani showed “a very limited retreat of EU and G7 firms”. This goes against the mainstream narrative of a “vast exodus” of Western firms abandoning the Russian market due to sanctions imposed by the EU. “In effect, many firms headquartered in these nations have resisted pressures from governments, the media, and NGOs to leave Russia since the invasion of Ukraine,” the research institution said in a statement.

At the start of the military operation on February 24, 2022, a total of 2 405 subsidiaries owned by 1 404 EU and G7 companies were active in Russia, according to the researchers. In late November 2022, they found that less than 9 percent of companies had divested at least one subsidiary in Russia and these divestment rates changed very little during the fourth quarter of 2022.

Instead companies headquartered in the US were more prone to divest than by those based in the EU or Japan. However, the results imply that fewer than 18 percent of American subsidiaries operating in Russia have followed sanction dictates. Among Japanese firms, 15 percent have left Russia, while among EU firms, it is 8,3 percent.

“These findings call into question the willingness of Western firms to decouple from economies their governments now deem to be geopolitical rivals,” they said in a statement. “The study’s findings are a reality check on the narrative that national security concerns and geopolitics is leading to a fundamental unwinding of globalisation.”

Thus Swiss food giant Nestlé, Microsoft and Ford Motors have all found ways to continue their operations.

On Sunday evening, January 15, a 1000-strong mob attacked homes and shops of 5 Hindu families living in Uttar Kandi village, Kotalipara upazila, Gopalganj district, Dhaka division of Bangladesh. The place is also famous as Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s constituency.

As per reports, the familiar tactic of alleging blasphemy of Islam was used to mobilize the mob. It was claimed that a Hindu youth, who migrated to Bharat 7 years ago, had ‘hurt Muslim religious sentiments’ through a Facebook post. So the mob decided to vandalize the properties belonging to his extended family to ‘take revenge’.

As per Dhaka Tribune, a relative of the Hindu youth said he has been living in Bharat for the last 7 years. Besides, his father, mother and sister also moved to Bharat 3 months ago. There are five affected Hindu families and they are all living in fear now.

In a video recorded by activists, the elderly victims were seen urging the Sheikh Hasina govt. of Bangladesh to ensure their safety. Moreover, the victims claimed that every year Hindus of Gopalganj face communal attacks but there are no steps taken by authorities to give them justice.

Meanwhile, Kotalipara police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Zillur Rahman said the situation in that area is ‘normal now’.

“Additional police have been deployed. We have not received any complaints over the matter. If any complaint is filed, legal action will be taken after an investigation,” the OC said literally washing his hands off the whole affair.

Every day, there are several sacrilegious and deeply offensive social media posts made in Bharat targeting Hindu Dharma and its deities. Abrahamic clerics, missionaries and secular politicians openly spew venom against Dharma, and even don’t hesitate to invade our sacred spots. But when Hindus approach the police and expect the Indian Republic to stop this vilification of their religion, they are usually met with apathy and told to accept abuse in the name of ‘free speech’.

How long will these double standards exist in the subcontinent? How long will the forces of Dharma allow Adharma to prevail?

The first time I ever played chess against a computer, I won.  It was a very simple computer, running a very simple program, but my paltry skills at chess had some difficulty in outwitting it.  In the end, however, I felt the same “thrill of victory” as I would have felt in defeating a human opponent.  After all, in the competition between man and machine, I had prevailed.  Take that, you computer!

I remember wondering how the computer felt about its loss.  Was it sad?  Frustrated?  Angry or embarrassed?

Most of us understand that computers have no feelings at all.  It is only because computers can be made to mimic human behaviors that we may sometimes think of them as having some human traits, such as emotion or intention, but they don’t.  They are mindless objects.

Lately, the efforts by humans to make computers to mimic humans have become more intense, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence (A.I.) and robotics.  The “help desk” that you access on your computer may use A.I. to answer your questions about a product you bought, or even a medical problem you may be having.  There is even discussion about enabling some armed robots to make impromptu decisions concerning the use of lethal force against humans — for example, in the areas of military or law enforcement.  It’s like chess, but with profound moral and legal consequences.

Currently, there is the popularity of a more benign use of A.I.  It can be used as a conversation partner in a “chat” format.  Users can ask the A.I. a question and receive impressive-sounding responses — anything from simple one-liner comments to full blown book-length essays.  One important development from this is that students can use A.I. to write term papers, even without having studied the subject, or indeed knowing anything about it, giving the appearance of hard work and expertise.  Unfortunately for the student, the A.I. does not guarantee accuracy.

It has come to light that, as with so many people in the computer software industry, those who program the A.I. “chat bots” are predominantly leftist in their personal views, as are the top tier of their managers.  Their “woke” opinions are aggressively imposed into the output of the A.I.  Thus, the A.I. has become a tool of propaganda, not of accuracy or truth.  The purveyors are closely aligned with powerful government agencies.  Thus, when one asks the A.I. what it “thinks” about a certain subject, it tells the user not what the A.I. thinks (because it does not think), but rather what the user himself should think, according to the propagandists.  Josef Goebbels would be jealous.

If these trends in A.I. continue along their present course, decision-making by armed robots may wind up being taken completely out of the hands of humans, including judgments about when to shoot and at whom.  The decisions will be mindless reactions to algorithms imposed by people who are not like us, but more like machines.  Orwell’s 1984 may soon look tame by comparison.  That comparison may be to the Book of Revelation, Chapter 13, verse 15:

The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.

Of course, that could never happen.  Just ask the A.I.
