The Polish consul in Berlin, Marcin Król, warned tourists visiting the German capital that some of the areas of the city could be dangerous. He also announced that in 2021, 10 times more crimes were committed in Berlin than in Warsaw.

“While visiting Berlin, please note that some areas of the city may be relatively dangerous for tourists,” wrote the Polish diplomat on social media. He added that in 2021, over 482,000 crimes were committed in Berlin compared to 49,000 in Warsaw, with only two times more inhabitants living in the German capital.

When adjusted for population, Berlin has five times more crime than Warsaw.

In the thread on Twitter, the Polish consul mentioned the dangerous areas and metro lines in Berlin such as Charlottenburg, Bahnhof Zoo, Alexanderplatz, Tiergarten, and metro line U8.

Marcin Król is a diplomat and political scientist. He was appointed as the Polish consul in the German capital in January 2022; previously, he was the consul in Munich, according to Polsat News.

New Year’s Eve violence fuels migration debate

During New Year’s Eve less than a month ago, a series of attacks perpetrated by migrant youth against emergency services occurred in Berlin. Dozens of policemen and firefighters were injured. Authorities were attacked with firework mortars and other pyrotechnical materials. According to police, 100 out of 145 of those arrested during the New Year’s Eve riots are migrants, while just 45 hold German citizenship. Of those with German citizenship, reports indicated that a substantial share had a migration background.

Berlin Mayor Franziska Giffey condemned the attacks, saying that “the level of violence and destruction deeply shocked me. It hurts our city, causes fear, and has nothing to do with greeting the New Year.”

The street violence in Berlin on New Year’s Eve has triggered a debate on law and order and mass immigration ahead of the upcoming regional elections in several states, including Berlin. Bavaria’s premier, Markus Söder, lashed out at the center-left government in Berlin, claiming it could “neither organize elections nor guarantee the safety of its citizens.”

As Remix News has previously reported, crime rates are dramatically different between Western and Eastern Europe. For example, when comparing robbery rates between countries like Hungary, Poland, and Czechia to Western Europe, the chances of being robbed in the West of Europe are far greater.

Remix News has also reported on the dramatic rise in crime in Western European nations. Much of the contrast between Hungary and nations like Britain and Sweden has to do with migration. Swedish police chiefs have, for instance, placed the blame for much of the spike in crime rates on migrant clan gangs, of which there are now over 40 operating in Sweden. In Paris, France, nearly half of all criminals are foreign-born in certain departments. Data from the country’s transport system also shows that 92 percent of all petty thefts were committed by foreigners.

In Germany, migrants are responsible for 38 percent of all crimes despite being a small share of the population and are highly over-represented in serious crimes like murder and robbery.

Poverty does not necessarily explain the massive differences in crime between East and West either. Countries like Hungary have a slightly higher poverty rate than France, and yet Hungary is overall a far safer nation to live in. One of the primary contrasts regarding these states is that, for example, Hungary and Poland refused to accept migrant quotas and feature far lower migrant populations overall.

Conservative governments in both nations have not been shy about placing the blame for the West’s higher crime rates and wave of terrorist attacks on the affected nations’ acceptance of multiculturalism and mass migration.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in 2020 that the West has chosen the path of migration, and it has led to dramatically different outcomes:

“I also see that law enforcement and police are on the streets, and yet there is a wave of violence. Statues are being toppled, the conditions are deplorable, and there are gang wars on the beautiful streets of small towns in civilized Western European countries. I look at the countries of those who are advising us how to conduct our lives properly and on good governance, proper operation of democracy, and I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.”

It is not just robbery rates or gang violence, either. Terrorism is virtually non-existent in Central and Eastern European nations, and the issue of Islamic terrorism is nearly a non-factor, predominantly because so few Muslims live in these nations. After the Vienna terror attacks last year, Hungarian security policy expert Georg Spöttle said, “Fortunately, the threat in Hungary is not as high as in Austria, Germany, or France because we hardly have any immigrants from Islamic countries here.”

After the burning of the Quran in Stockholm, Turkey has no intention of allowing Sweden to join NATO. Sweden’s Prime Minister, on the other hand, pointed to the importance of freedom of expression. The NATO Secretary General also spoke up on the matter.

After Danish-Swedish politician Rasmus Paludan carried out a permitted and constitutionally protected demonstration outside the Turkish embassy in Stockholm, there was a swift Turkish reaction. On Monday, Turkish President Erdogan announced that Turkey would not approve a Swedish NATO application.

The Turkish leader withdrew support for the Scandinavian country’s entry into NATO after the incident. “Sweden should not expect any support from us. If they don’t respect the religion of the Turkish Republic or the Muslims, they will not receive any support from our side,” he said, according to the dpa news agency.

Rasmus Paludan was previously denied entry into Sweden by police and had been handed a two years travel ban to the country due to inciting unrest. His supporters gave a vivid example of the police’s fears when they managed to burn a copy of the Quran anyway, and massive riots ensued on August 28, 2020, in the immigrant ghetto of Rosengård in Malmö, Sweden’s third largest city.

Irrespective of this, Turkey has been blocking the admission of the Scandinavian country and Finland to the western military alliance for months. Erdogan accuses Sweden in particular of supporting terrorist organizations such as the Kurdish PKK. In addition, Ankara is demanding the extradition of several people who are said to be terrorists.

Sweden touts freedom of expression

Sweden’s foreign ministry initially declined to comment on Erdogan’s most recent statements. Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson called the incident “a deeply disrespectful act”. However, he made it clear that Paludan’s Quran burnings were no longer a crime and that “freedom of expression is a fundamental part of democracy”.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stressed that he was against the burning of the Quran. At the same time, however, he admitted on the TV station Welt that nothing illegal had happened and “freedom of expression has now firmly been established”.

Like Finland, Sweden can only become a NATO member if all 30 member states vote yes. Except for Turkey and Hungary, all other countries have already done so. The two states in northern Europe gave up the neutrality they had maintained for decades last year.

No Muslim riots against Paludan

Last weekend, Sweden was shaken by civil war-like clashes. However, this time there were no Turkish or Arab clans on the one hand and state authority, let alone Swedish-Danish individuals like Paludan, on the other. Rather, competing immigrant clans attacked each other. They did so with firearms and explosive devices.

Numerous clan fighters were injured, while two died. According to Swedish outlet SVT, it is suspected within the police force that criminals have a kind of list of potential targets and a corresponding monetary reward for carrying out orders against such targets. The list has been circulating on the internet. It is attributed to a 36-year-old man who fled to Turkey. His nickname is “The Kurdish Fox”.

In this volatile situation, Rasmus Paludan, who comes from Denmark, stood in front of the Turkish embassy in Stockholm and publicly burned the Quran. Incidentally, his name is not on this hit list which led to extreme violence over the weekend.

In response to the Quran burning, protesters in Istanbul set fire to Swedish flags. They shouted “Allahu akbar” and showered Swedes with religious and secular curses, which expressly blamed the Swedish government for not preventing the burning of the Quran.

The failed immigration policy of liberal and social democratic governments has plunged the country into a nightmare from which there will be no waking up in the short term, despite Paludan’s antics.

Sweden reports one of the ‘worst weekends’ in a long time

A renewed wave of violence among criminal gangs in Sweden continues to worry Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson. “This weekend has been one of the worst we’ve seen in a very long time,” the conservative head of government said on Monday on Swedish radio station SVT.

Sweden has been struggling with conflicts between rival gangs for years. Clashes between them have repeatedly involved gunfire and explosions. The situation in the capital Stockholm has recently deteriorated again: since Christmas there have been more than 20 acts of violence of this kind, including several last weekend.

Two people were killed during the renewed wave of violence, most recently a man on Friday evening. The Stockholm police are now receiving reinforcements from across the country to tackle their imported problem.

Will Finland join NATO?

The fact that NATO opponents and Erdogan critics gathered for demonstrations this weekend constituted a threat to Sweden’s and Finland’s security, Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto meanwhile told YLE.

“These demonstrators are playing with Finland’s and Sweden’s security,” he told YLE.

After Turkey once again said no to Sweden’s application for membership in the NATO defense alliance, Finland may ignore earlier promises to join together with Sweden. “Finland has opened up to consider its options,” Haavisto said.

On Tuesday morning, Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billström however announced in a written comment to Swedish daily Aftonbladet that they were in contact with Finland to find out what Haavisto’s statement about joining NATO without Sweden was supposed to mean.

Haavisto then clarified to Swedish outlet Dagens Nyheter that he was only considering it if Sweden were to be permanently excluded from the defense alliance. “It is Finland’s priority to join together with Sweden,” said Haavisto at a press conference on Tuesday.

As the Newspeak Dictionary shrinks away to nothing, it becomes ever more difficult for woke social engineers to find words to be offended by on someone else’s behalf. Desperation has reduced them to erasing the word “mummy”:

They say the term is dehumanising to those who died and – of course – an unwelcome throwback to Britain’s colonial past.

The phrase now deemed politically acceptable is ‘mummified person’ or ‘mummified remains’.

The British Museum says it uses the latter phrase to emphasise to visitors that they are looking at people who once lived, while the Great North Museum: Hancock in Newcastle says that it has adopted the new terms for its mummified woman Irtyru, who dates from around 600BC, to acknowledge the history of colonial exploitation and to give her the respect she deserves.

No doubt Irtyru feels much better, now that British museums are making amends for colonial exploitation by not calling her a mummy.

The word “mummy” has been used in English since at least 1615. It takes longer to build a civilization than to destroy one. The same goes for language.

Because the word is derived from the Arabic “mummiya,” use of it is considered cultural appropriation. Ironically, Egyptian culture was largely eradicated by Arabs, which is why Egyptians speak Arabic. But the British are the guilty ones, for discovering tombs that helped us appreciate the greatness of ancient Egypt.

For more than a decade, we have been warned that we would have snowless winters. Why haven’t those warnings come true? I bet people in California, Utah, and Buffalo are tired of shoveling that global warming. The answer is the warnings were always made up to indoctrinate and scare us. They were never based on scientific data.

They are as made up as the warnings of an ice age in the 1970’s and all the warnings from the UN that we only have ten years left to solve the problem.

The purpose of the made-up predictions is to scare us into transferring money, power, and freedom to the government and having the government hand out money to people pushing the lies.

It is all about greed: Al Gore and other green pushers have achieved great wealth off their fear mongering.  Gore’s dire predictions have been 100% wrong. Why is he still raking in money when he lies so much?

Here is a small sample of the dire warnings of snowless winters.

In 2000, a warming scientist from East Anglia, Dr. David Viner, went way out on a limb and said there would soon be no more snow in England.  From the Independent report of March 20, 2000:

For 20 years, global warming alarmists warned snow would vanish: “Children just aren’t going to know what snow is.” Here’s what children now see in North Eastern US: “The last decade… has had 29 major impact northeast winter storms with NO previous 10-year period with more than 10 storms!” Meanwhile, ski resorts in the Alps open a month early.

In December 2021, The Washington Post tried to scare everyone that snow may vanish in the West. Why does anyone pay attention to the Post as their dire warnings have been wrong for 100 years. They are essentially a lobbyist for radical, leftist policies to remake, destroy America. 

Meanwhile, here is some actual scientific data, not predictions.

30 feet of snow? That much has fallen in some places in California as snow blankets huge swaths of state.

Around Lake Tahoe, some measuring sites have recorded 300 or even 400% of the median amount, compared to data going back to 1991.

In the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and Utah, snow fall is up to 200% above average along the Continental Divide in Colorado.

In Park City, Utah, they have had 299 inches so far this winter season

And we must therefore understand that the issue that are present in the climate crisis are varied — and it requires us to be present and to be in front of each of the iterations and variations that include extreme weather that produces a lot of water and extreme weather that produces drought.

Harris should be called a climate change denier because she said exactly what those falsely accused of being deniers say. The climate varies. Sometimes it rains and sometimes it doesn’t. The climate is and has always been cyclical. 

Wouldn’t it be fun to ask Harris, Biden, Gore, Kerry, Gates, and other green pushers to show the link between oil and coal consumption and temperatures. They would be confused because there is none. Of course, the compliant and complicit media will never ask the questions because they don’t care. 

The lies (false dire predictions) used to destroy companies that produce reasonably priced and reliable energy are endless. Those lies are much more destructive than any of the multiple lies Congressman Santos has told. Santos should be kicked out and never trusted but his lies aren’t intentionally destroying the economy.

Why aren’t other members of Congress held to account for the massive harm they are doing to the poor, middle class, and small businesses with high prices and seeking to force them to buy high priced vehicles based on a theory instead of actual science?

Why is Nancy Pelosi trusted to make energy policy when in 2008 she didn’t seem to know that natural gas came out of the ground and is an oil product.

In the latest scandal involving antisemitism to rock the German art world, a prominent Bulgarian-Israeli musician has resigned from his post as the orchestra director of the Hessian State Theater in the city of Wiesbaden, citing antisemitic bullying as the reason.

In his resignation letter issued on Sunday, Ilia Jossifov — a Bulgarian-born classical musician whose credits include performances with the Israeli Opera and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra — stated that he had been subjected to “systematic antisemitic belittling and months of harassment” by his colleague Holger von Berg, the theater’s managing director.

At issue was a poster that hung in von Berg’s office for several months showing a Nazi swastika alongside the likeness of Richard Wagner, the viscerally antisemitic nineteenth century German composer. The poster was commissioned for a 2017 lecture series examining the impact of Nazi antisemitism on German music following World War II.

Jossifov claimed that von Berg refused repeated appeals to remove the poster and that he had made antisemitic comments as well. “I and my family would never have thought that something like this would still be possible in Germany more than 70 years after the Holocaust,” he wrote in his resignation letter.

Jossifov raised his concerns in a letter to Angela Dorn, the state minister for the arts and education. Accusing the minister of having failed to protect him, Jossifov and his agent Marcus Felsner also claimed they had not been given access to a private, unpublished report from an outside consultant that caused Dorn to opine that there was no evidence of antisemitic behavior on von Berg’s part, the news outlet Welt reported on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, von Berg’s lawyers have vigorously contested Jossifov’s charges. “Our client firmly rejects any allegations of antisemitism or support for National Socialism,” his representatives declared in August. At the same time, they emphasized that von Berg “would like to sincerely apologize to anyone who felt hurt by the posters,” acknowledging as well that the meaning of the poster was not entirely clear.

The “swastika scandal” — as the incident has been dubbed in the German press —  comes a few months after a slew of controversies at the Documentafestival of contemporary art, where several antisemitic works were displayed.

It was never going to stop at Eva Kaili and Antonio Panzeri. The Qatargate investigation is continuing and two more MEPs, the Belgian Marco Tarabelli and Italian Andrea Cozzolino, have had their immunity lifted. Greek and Italian prosecutors have sent demands for information to banks in Panama to confirm the authenticity of transfers rumored to be in the region of $60 million.

Now, more EU politicians are showing up on the radar of law enforcement. Over the weekend, news broke in the Spanish media that Juan Fernando Lopez Aguilar, MEP and former socialist justice minister in the Zapatero government, may be involved in Qatargate.

According to the reports, he had struck up a friendship with a prominent Qatari politician, Ali Bin Samikh Al Marri, who is currently the minister for labor in Qatar and regularly visited the European Parliament. More importantly, he also participated in committees chaired by politicians from the European left. 

In the last year or so, Al Marri was involved in lobbying to remove visa requirements for Qatari citizens in several EU member states. It has been confirmed that he was in contact with Aguilar in official and unofficial meetings. The matter seemed close to being resolved until the scandal about socialist politicians taking bribes from Qatar shocked Europe. The visa liberalization decision has now been blocked. 

Lopez Aguilar, however, has been a key figure in the campaign against the Polish government as a head of the European Parliament’s influential LIBE committee, which covers civil liberties and judicial affairs. It was his committee that initiated all the debates on Poland and formulated the most unfavorable resolutions against Poland. 

In this effort, he was aided and abetted by politicians from Poland’s opposition who often gave their input and suggestions.

It was Aguilar’s committee that produced the resolution citing the existence of “LGBT free zones” in Poland that in fact do not exist. Yet, the phrase appeared in many other resolutions and even official European Commission documents on rule-of-law compliance in Poland. 

Aguilar was so aggressive in his attacks on Poland that during a public hearing held by the Polish opposition’s Radek Sikorski, an MEP and former foreign minister, Sikorski had to remind him that the proceedings were being recorded and that the tenor of his remarks could be construed as being anti-Polish. 

It just so happens that all those who have been arrested or are suspected of being involved in Qatargate participated in the anti-Polish crusade in the European Parliament, often using false information. Since it was possible to buy favors and influence from the likes of Qatar and Morocco, it is not impossible that unfavorable actions against Poland were also purchased by a country from a different geographical location.

Yum! Europeans may soon be consuming insects added as powder to their “cereal bars, biscuits, pizza, pasta-based products, and whey powder,” among other foods. Even though there is no evidence that bugs were featured in the food consumed at the WEF meetings just concluded in Davos, the oligarchs and politicians there are certain that the rest of us should stop eating meat and get our proteins from bugs, as well as traditional vegetarian sources.

It’s up to us to Save The Planet so they can continue to jet around in their Gulfstreams high above the hoi poloi slipping into poverty.

RT, the Russian government-supported site, reports:  

Partially defatted and powdered house crickets will officially be able to find their way to EU citizens’ tables starting on January 24. This comes thanks to a European Commission ruling passed earlier this month.

As per the decision, which cited the scientific opinion of the European Food Safety Authority, the additive is safe to use in a whole range of products, including but not limited to cereal bars, biscuits, pizza, pasta-based products, and whey powder.

Back in August 2021, the European Food Safety Authority concluded that “frozen and dried formulations from whole house crickets” are “safe under the proposed uses and use levels.” The officials noted, however, that the insects may trigger allergic reactions in some consumers.

But don’t worry. The benevolent autocrats have constructed the EU regulations so that the adult crickets first undergo a 24-hour fast as they empty their bowels, then are frozen, washed, thermally processed, have their oils extracted, and are ground into powder. And lest you get bored with crickets, “the European Commission also approved earlier this month the larvae of the Alphitobius diaperinus, known as the lesser mealworm, for human consumption.”

And rest assured, the EU insists that the additives will bear “appropriate labels,” whatever that means.

Bugs are strictly not kosher, but who in the EU bureaucracy cares? Europe eliminated almost all of its Jews last century. Muslims, about whom the EU does care, are allowed to eat bugs.
